I know we all have our allegiances to different brands of condoms but I was wondering which would really come out ahead, and why. If you have a favorite, or favorites, please explain - if there is a brand you do NOT like, please tell us why too. I know not everyone here uses them, as many of us are in fluid bonded relationships with other forms of birth control, but even if you just use them on your toys or for backup birth control, please feel free to contribute.
Your preferred brand of condoms?
I am, when I use them, a Durex and ONE girl. Durex Love is by far my trustworthy standby, but I really like ONE and think they make a good quality condom, plus they appeal to my artistic side. I also used to like Atlas brand which I didn't list only because it's less popular and rarely seen in stores.
My worst condom experiences, by far have been with the Trojan Enz. They were sooo fragile and consistently when I was younger, and I knew other people at the same time that had similar experiences and a few that became pregnant from them. I haven't used one in years so hopefully they've improved but I'll never trust the brand again.

We rarely use condoms for sex, but I do have a box of Lifestyles polyisproine condoms for use with toys on occasion. I'm allergic to latex, and it is virtually impossible to find large size condoms in polyisproine. Durex makes a large size condom in a different plastic, but it has an unacceptably high breakage rate.
We'd probably use them more if we could find the right combination of size and formulation.

I haven't actually needed to use a condom in 9 years, BUT back when I did I always liked trojans the best. Since it's been so long there are probably new ones that I am just not aware of though.

Happily we are not using condoms at present as I now have an IUD. We used condoms for over a year...Okeido were awesome but expensive but I did find a place to buy in larger quantities, reasonably. EF had them but only in 3 packs. My b/f has a large head and they fit him comfortably w/o complaints. LifeStyles were tight but the latex odor is so not sexy to me.

Actually though I think we did use them for a while after we had our third child and before his vasectomy had taken affect. I'm pretty sure we used trojans at that time too!

I quite like the Lifestyles ultra-ribbed (name changed to "vibra ribbed" recently, I think) condoms. They're the only ribbed condoms that have ever really made a difference for me - mostly because the ribs extend all the way to the tip, which is where they actually feel good. The sensation of ribs on my labia is much more irritating than arousing.
Other than that, neither I nor my partner particularly care. We usually get huge variety packs of condoms online and just grab one without thinking. The only time he's ever spoken up is when we unknowingly got one with desensitizing cream in the tip.
