I recently purchased a No!No! hair removal device that uses light pulses to destroy hair follicles. I was talking about it with a friend the other day and started to wonder if any members of EF have tried this. If you have used it, have you had any success with it?

I've been wondering about the NoNo myself. I'll have to keep an eye on this discussion.

I have wondered if that thing works since seeing the late night commercial for it. Don't have one and haven't tried it, but I will admit to being curious about it.

Is it working for you so far?

I haven't tried it but like the other commenters, I'm curious about it. What has your experience been since you've started using it?

YOU DID?!! I almost got it! In fact, a few years ago, I went everywhere looking for it, but couldn't find it anywhere. I didn't want to order it. Anyways, I ended up going with a different, but similarly used machine and hated it, a total waste! Now I epilate.

You MUST tell us how it works out.

I almost bought it myself so am interested in the feedback on it as well. Right now I wax and nair it and for the price of the No!No! I want to be sure it will work as advertised. I could spend the money instead on a high end toy I really want if it doesn't work as advertised.

I almost bought it, researched it and found a LOT of negative reviews. So I just stick to shaving.

Same with me. I was very close to buying it on Amazon, but there was so much negativity about it, so I decided not to waste the money. Most people were saying it was okay for fine hair, but not thicker hair.

I will be following this thread, as I have been curious about the No-No for ages now. It just seems like the reviews for it are soooo mixed, and it's too pricey for me to take a chance on.

My mother has one and she stopped using it cause she didnt see a difference. Now if she used it regularly or not is another thing. I used it a few times to see how it felt and its not painful or anything its just kinda a strange feeling. But being i only used it like 3 times i didnt see a difference in hair growth.
hope this helps a little

Sorry guys! I apologize for starting this discussion before I tried the product! As soon as I start using it, I'll post my results/reactions to it! I had an eczema flair up & wasn't able to try it until I was better healed, then I got the flu. Where I bought it, they gave me freebies & a 120 return policy, with no questions asked & for any reason. I also got a killer deal including interest free payments while getting the product right away!

About my hair & skin type: I have very fair, white skin that is crazy sensitive & I can barely tolerate shaving my underarms & legs. I get bad ingrown hairs & have to be so careful about anything that touches my skin be it cleanser, lotion or clothes. My hair is more a medium brown that looks dark because it's against my light skin, not because it's actually very dark brown. The hair on my face & arms is fine & fairly light, most people would think it's blonde & don't notice it. Once I started steroids, it became darker & longer, especially on my face, yuck!!! The hair on my calves is dark brown, long & medium texture. At the risk of over sharing, I will be trying it on some of the bikini line hair which is much coarser. I was hoping this would finally be something I could do to that region that didn't result in big problems; I have not been able to remove hair from there & I would like to!

I know the key to it's use is to do it constantly, so I figure to use it everyday as I use the computer, watch TV & read, (although they say you don't have to do it that often, I'm impatient). I will start with my face, but I will try sections of my legs & groin to see how the different textures of hair are affected.

I didn't realize I would be the product tester for you guys, but I will do my best to answer any questions & to let you know if it doesn't do what it says it will. If you do buy it, I would highly recommend getting it where you can receive free extra heads, a discount & a free return policy with extended days. Since hair is always in different growth cycles, this takes commitment over a few months, so you want the assurance that you can return this after giving it a good run. I bought mine during a holiday sale at HSN. I got it on 5 interest free flex pays so I only paid 1/5 the price upfront, but received it right away.

Thanks for the warning! I will be careful of that as I wanted to use this the most for facial hair including my mustache!

I see you're a man, but did you know this is used by men, as well? Please, don't leave us hanging with a one word, "nope", I am confused as to what this means.

I would love to get some more details on your experience with the NoNo! I can tell that you're obviously very interested in this thread because you took the time to pull it open, read through it and post, so please - enlighten me! You must have all sorts of opinions about the NoNo as a form of hair removal if you were so overwhelmed that you could only manage to squeeze out a one-word reply.

I wanted to buy it, but most of reviews for No!No! are really bad.

I'm not really interested in it. It says it works by heat so I would think it would dry out/damage your skin easily if you use it too much and also has quite a few bad reviews. I'd just rather get one of those Epilator shavers where you have more brands to choose from in different price ranges. If I was you I would depenatly try it out to see if it works but don't overdo it more than it says because it might damage your skin or even burn you!

Thanks for your concern, I will definitely take that into consideration. Maybe I will switch the areas I treat each day to only hit them the recommended amount. This product uses light to kill the hair follicle, heat it just a by product of the light, not what causes the hair to fall out.

I have tried epilators before & can't tolerate them, they rip my skin off with the hair. Nor can I use chemical depilatories, waxing, or tweezing. I can barely tolerate shaving & have a horrible time with ingrown hairs. Admittedly, I have unusually sensitive, freaky reactive skin, so I was hoping this might work. But, yes, I will do patch tests, first!

I've been curious, but I have very thick, dark hair all over - like most things I'm pretty sure it won't work. Shaving or waxing seem to be the only thing that works for me, and my skin is too dry and sensitive to wax, so shaving it is. I'll be interested to see what happens though! I do have some fine hairs that sprouted up under my chin while I was pregnant and never went away - I'd like to find a way to just make those go away!

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't waste your money if you have such sensitive skin-it probably would not work

Thanks, but too late, I already bought it My plan was to give it to my sister if it didn't work on me. Then if she liked it, she could also let her daughter try it because she is almost at the point where she will want to start shaving her legs. I thought, maybe if she has success with it she could avoid a life of shaving, etc. Regardless, I was planning on giving it to them once my hair stopped growing back, assuming it works, of course.

Has anyone actually tried this themselves?

I'm interested to see how it works for you, because I've been tempted to try it (or something similar) for a while.
