I don't look forward to it but I just stare at the ceiling and breath. My Dr has a picture on the ceiling and I do my best to get distracted by it.

That little scraper they use is like one of those bottle cleaners. It's definitely uncomfortable to say the least.

UGH! They're the worst!! I always seem to get the doctor that doesn't warm it up so it's like she's sticking a cold, plastic, duck bill up there and going on an exploratory mission that's destroying my vagina environment! I really hate them with a passion.

I hate the amount of lube/gel my doctor uses. Was in there for like three days. I hated it.

they arent fun, but the doctor has done it how many times and just wants to get it done in an efficient matter too. as long as they tell me what they are going to do, i dont care.

They don't bother me during, and I have nothing against the latex gloves and speculum, but after it's all done I still feel the 'scratch', and I hate that.

I've never felt much of anything with mine. I've had them done by multiple doctors (some of which preferred plastic speculums and others who used metal), and I've just never noticed much of a feeling. Heck, I can barely feel it when they do the trans-vaginal ultrasounds!

I've never minded them. I'm more annoyed by the whole process of making the doctor's appointment, and arranging to be off work, and all of that part of it.

I always go to a woman, its slightly uncomfortable but I don't mind. The actual pap smear tickles (for me at least) and so I laugh which is apparently an unexpected response! :-P

I hate them, I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and she told me I still need one every two years and I don't think I will do them again.
