Embarrassing question about female discharge

Contributor: Zombirella Zombirella
I feel so stupid/embarrassed asking this, especially because of my age. But I don't watch porn or anything so there is no way for me to know.

Three times now I thought I had a yeast infection and went to the doctor. They looked and swabbed and couldn't find anything, tested for other vaginal infections and nothing!

So, what exactly does/can female cum look like? Does it always have to be clear, like when you first become aroused and wet?
It doesn't happen every time but some times I have noticed something that looks similar to his cum and it freaked me out and that is why I went to the doctor. It seems to show more when I use gel lubricant (glycerin free). It seems to happen more so around the time of my period if that has anything to do with it.

I've had yeast infections before and it doesn't feel like that. It isn't on my underwear randomly and it doesn't itch. I felt dryness and sometimes burning after sex when I pee the first time(even when the cum or whatever isn't present) and the doctor told me to use more lubricant and foreplay if I have soreness after.

I just don't know where to ask. I googled but all I find are a bunch of people asking questions and really no answer. I feel stupid asking the doctor what female cum/arousal looks like because it's embarrassing and I feel like at my age this is something I should know .

Don't be embarrassed. Changes in the thickness and consistency of your vaginal discharge is totally normal throughout your cycle, especially when you are not on birth control (but sometimes even when you are on birth control). This discharge is not "female cum" (ejaculate, from the urethra), but is created from glands throughout your vaginal canal.

Sounds like your every day natural lube and cervical fluid to me.

I was quite surprised when I started having sex, because female lube seems poorly represented in popular culture. Mine is usually white and sometimes thick or sticky. I have not even seen women in porn getting wet the way I do when I have sex. I had the same questions you did, but I have came to the conclusion it's just the way my vagina is, and probably the way most peoples' are.

I just don't think it's talked about too openly.

Thank you for that. That really was helpful and what I was needing. And thanks for being so nice about it. I mean everyone is pretty much nice here but I was worried my question was juvenile and was afraid to post it.

Mine always looks a little spermy. My significant other says that, when I'm really wet, it looks like I've already had a creampie.

When I (finally) remove dildos from my vagina that I've had an orgasm on, there's always a little whitish fluid on it.

I can always tell my vaginal health by the taste and smell of my cum. If it smells/tastes normal and not weird, all is well. If there's something off... well, not so good.

((((( hugs ))))) Don't feel silly or foolish or juvenile! Your body and your sexual health are important, so good on you for mustering the strength to ask!

I often create fairly copious amounts of whitish discharge, often the consistency of egg whites. Like others have said, it can sometimes look like male ejaculate, but it comes from me.

In fact, this past year I had to switch from a name brand birth control pill to a generic (due to a shortage of the name brand)... anyway this generic causes me to have a LOT more fluid & discharge. I remember one night in particular after a romp, I was laying there and my man said it was like a waterfall of the white fluid and it just kept coming out and coming out of me and I didn't even feel it. lol It was really funny and weird - fortunately he likes that kind of stuff and isn't squeamish. I was just amused, and then unhappy about the cold wet spot I had created all by myself.

It is good to kind of keep track of what kind of discharge & fluid is normal for you so that when changes happen you'll be able to notice them. Sounds like this white stuff is normal for you, as it is for many of us!

I'm really glad you went to the doctor just to make sure. You keep that healthy attitude about taking good care of your vagina and the rest of your body!

Glad you found out it's normal. We all can be juicy sometimes and it's not always clear. As long as it's not green, yellow, or smell...you are usually good.

I just want to second what everyone else has said. Mine isn't clear either, so I would try not to worry about it.

It changes throughout the cycle. I learned the most about my body than ever before when I learned NFP (tracking my cycle to prevent/promote pregnancy) and can't say I ever paid much attention before then. I think it is something that should be taught more and if I ever have a daughter, I will be teaching her these things!

Mine varies with the stimulation. When the G-spot is stimulated and revved up, the lubricant is white. Clitoral stimulation, I am clear. Do not feel embarrassed, it is what the forums are for--to learn things and to ask questions so our minds are put at ease. Knowing others are the same really helps ease our minds.

I'm the same way as everyone else seems to be saying aswell, Clear to white-ish. Sometimes cloudy, clear bloched whith white. I've wondered myself if it was normals at times but since it's always been like that and I've never had any issues I figured it was normal.
