I visit about once a year, which probably isn't enough, I've heard around 2-3 times a year, possibly more is a good number. How often do you see your Gynocologist?
You didn't include a "never" option. It's an outdated practice that has it's roots in the Victorian era, when women were thought to be so weak their own bodies were trying to kill them. Pap smears aren't even a necessity anymore, they make a simple, non-invasive blood test for that that's considerably more accurate.
I go once a year, though I know I'm going to the health clinic on campus once more this year (already went once) for STD tests. I'm not sure how often I'll be going to the clinic for that on average...
Once a year! It gives me peace of mind and I LOVE my gynecologist. We talk about general health stuff too, so she prescribes me blood tests and other specialists if I need it. I'll be sad when she retires.
I have to go once I year. I go through the health department to get birth control because I can't afford it any other way. They require a yearly check up.
Haven't been for years.. Not looking forward to being pushed to take unnecessary vaccinations (i.e. Gardasil) and forced to take STD tests which I don't need because I'm monogamous.
