A golf ball size one was found on the back of my left ovary about two years ago through an MRI (for my back), but I never felt it or had any pain. (I know, the whole thing is freaking weird.) It eventually dissolved on its own (discovered during my tubal surgery a few months back) because they tend to come and go while taking birth control pills.
Laproscopic surgery is very simple, and you should be in and out the same day, so you won't need to spend the night in the hospital. Your abdomen will be pumped full of gas so they can maneuver the tube and camera and such around inside you while they work. Just remember to get up and walk within a few hours of surgery, otherwise the gas will stay in your body and travel up your neck/shoulder and hurt (it's not dangerous, just painful).
And don't believe you
have to be right back to normal in three days - it's still surgery, so take your time to recover if you need to. Just walk around and build up your strength.
