I only get them near the beginning of my period. They are usually pretty bad for 1 day, and then just discipate.

my period cramps can be pretty bad and sometimes I have to take a midol or even a muscle relaxant to help me.

My cramps get so bad I get really sick from them. I used to miss days of school because I was just too sick to get out of bed. My gynecologist put me on the pill to stop them. I still get cramps, but I just ignore them.

Thay're there, but I can ignore them; they were much worse when I wasn't on birth control!

I used to get such horrible cramps as a teen. I would even vomit from the pain. Take birth control was a blessing, because I didn't have cramps on it. Eventually, I guess I outgrew them, because I didn't have the problem as an adult.

My cramps come and go, if it's really unbearable, one Advil will take care of it. Skip drinking cold beverages during your period, cold stuff triggers more menstrual cramps, try drinking fresh ginger tea with brown sugar link.

I get terrible cramps, so bad I can't walk around. I drink yellow yarrow and sage tea to alleviate them.

My cramps used to be debilitating, but since I went on this birth control (Loestrin), they are never bad.

The best way to get rid of cramps is to drink about twice the amount of water you are used to (and not ICE cold, try a little closer to room temp). My doctor recommended approx. 1-2 liters in a day especially leading up to when I'm supposed to get it. In addition to the water, get up and move around. Go for a walk, jump on a treadmill or your bike, or go to the gym. The exercise boosts adrenaline and estrogen in your system which alleviates the cramping caused by your ovaries. Sometimes if this doesn't work I also take a couple ibuprofen/asprin/tylen ol... whatever I have around. It works for me. And if you can get a steady routine going that also helps your body a lot more. Before I started this my cramps were pretty bad, but then I started doing sports and going to the gym and increased my water intake and now I rarely have cramps during or before my period. If this doesn't help completely, eat more iron (broccoli, meat, vitamins, etc) because when you menstruate all the blood you loose has iron in it and it throws your body for a loop. I hope this works for you!

I have endometriosis so I have to take prescribed pain killers in order to even get to the bathroom without help. I've never had a period where I stopped after 2 weeks and didn't need medical attention afterwards. I'd give anything to have a normal period or one that didn't feel like I was dying.

I get really bad cramps - I have to take painkillers and anti-nausea meds and sometimes I still end up throwing up. Really messes with your day.

I don't really have craps. They happen randomly, but I get hit with the other symptoms. I get back pain, and I'm always sleepy. Oh, don't get me started on the cravings.

Since I started OTC-Lo my cramps have diminished from debilitating to very minimal. I wish they would go away, but I can coexist with them now.

Ever since I got my first period, ironically it started on christmas eve when I was 13, (insert lame holiday gift joke here) I have had cramps so severe I would get nausea from them, but only for the first 72 hours, after that it was smooth ladling for the rest of the period. I used to take midol menstrual complete, but it quit working, so now I take aleve. It isn't designed for menstruation, but works like a charm.

If i'm on my regular diet && drink tea like i'm suppose to, my cramps are perfectly tolerable BUT if i stray from drinking tea... Lord, i'd lay there paralyzed!

I have to say that the worst thing about my cramps is having to figure out which pain killer works because they change each month. What worked in April won't work in May and so on, all year long. >.<

My cramps are less now that i'm older. In my late teens and early 20's they were horrible and i would get really sick for the first two days of my period. Now if i have to go out and i have cramps i take ibuprofin and it usually takes the edge off.

For me, it depends on the month. I have had cramps so awful that I have quite literally fainted. More frequently, I have cramps so awful the first day that I need to lay down for hours, and find it impossible to get comfortable even after I take pain killers.

Since I switched to a new birth control pill a month ago, my cramps are a lot less severe, but they're still there.

Mine used to be really really bad but then I went vegan, started doing yoga, stopped eating any high fructose corn syrup, and started drinking red raspberry leaf tea and it helped a ton! I think it's mostly the veganism and yoga that's helping though because the first thing I did was go vegan and that helped quite a bit and then once I started doing yoga every night that made a world of difference. My sister came to visit me for about three weeks and it kinda threw me out of my schedule so I stopped doing yoga and my cramps were super painful that month.

My cramps make me a bit nauseous - I've never thrown up because of them but they take the pleasure out of eating. I used to take painkillers but stopped. I would take them again if I had to take a test or something like that. But since the worst days are on weekends that's unlikely to happen.

A strong vibe on my clit and a few orgasms a day do wonders.

I also have endo, with cramps that have left me vomiting and doubled over in pain. Being on hormonal birth control helps a LOT, I can do fine with OTC pain meds on my birth control.

My cramps get to the point I am seizing in pain on the floor and it usually lasts throughout my entire period (which sometimes goes 8 days). Nothing really helps. I've been given some strong pain killers and they just put a dent in it.

I have to plan my months well, because of how miserable I am during my period.

Usually I can ignore my cramps, but sometimes I need something like a heating pad or maybe some ibuprofen.
