Rant and rave about menstrual cups

I recently purchased a Diva Cup, and I'm not having any trouble with inserting it, but I am having trouble with it getting to open correctly. I've tried the c fold and the punch down, but I haven't had any luck with getting it to open all the way with either of these folds Any advice would be appreciated!

I haven't really had ay major issues. There's a slight learning curve so the first few (or more) times you need to empty it then it is definitely best done at home. They hold quite a bit. I empty mine at work and school without a hassle or mess.

I know not everyone does, but I'd rather not spend my money at that rate on something that might be too messy for my liking. I'll stick with my tampons for now.

I started using Instead. I liked it until I ignored the warnings and used it with my IUD. **BAD IDEA** The suction pulled my IUD down and now it is low enough to notice during intercourse and self play.. Now, I'm not sure if it is far enough in to protect me, or if I damaged myself Gonna have to take a trip to the doctor and shell out some $$ to have it removed. .... Needless to say I'm not using my dildos until I get the problem resolved.

Not to sound like a sensationalist or anything, but my menstrual cup changed my life.
Tampons had never fit well with my body and were always leaking even when inserted properly, and pads were uncomfortable. I own a Lunette and a Ladycup, I use the Ladycup most often and aside from the bloating and no oral sex, being on my period is completely inconsequential for me now!
Also, I started using my cup when I was still a virgin, and talking to girls who have used them after starting to have sex, they've said that their partners haven't felt like they've gotten looser or anything since they started using them. I'm a HUGE advocate of menstrual cups (this silicone kind, the I have a few insteads and didn't like them). I eased myself into it with the menstrualcups community on LJ too and it was SO helpful!
