Withholding sex is stupid and kinda pointless. Sex is an activity, not a reward system... And it's an activity between two people, if someone withholds sex, guess who, besides the person it's being withheld from, isn't having sex?

There have certainly been times when I wasn't in the mood to have sex, but if I want my lover to understand that he did something wrong, there are better ways to do it...

I would imagine if you're holding sex purposely, there are some issues that may need to be addressed. Like the PP stated, sometimes you may not be in the mood, but to hold back to make a point seems...well....pointl ess to me.

Only when my vagina was out of commission for some reason (infection, soreness, whatever). But that just meant PIV sex was off the table; everything else could still happen.

Withholding sex for revenge or punishment is never a good idea. If I ever got to the point where I wanted to do that, I'd just end the relationship because it wouldn't be healthy.
