The post about shaving or not shaving and peoples preferences about everything to do with hair down there has got me thinking about how many people shave compare to wax and why they choose to do that one.

I personally have always waxed as im too worried that i will cut myself down there and like the fact that waxing lasts longer

So my question to everyone is if you do look after yourself down there do you prefer to shave or wax? Also why do you choose to do it this way and have you ever tried any other methods of hair removal?

I prefer shaving for the convenience. It's something I can just to in the shower and don't have to set aside extra time or pay someone else to do it. I got a bikini wax once (almost Brazilian) but I didn't think it was worth the money I spent on it.

Wax once a year, shave in between. I find it helpful to get waxed as my hair grows back finer.

I have to set aside extra time for shaving. But I don't have to go anywhere or pay anyone so I guess it's convenient in that way

I shaved once and really didn't like it--the itching bothered me so much and I got all sorts of those little pimples after so I said to hell with it, lol!

I shave not only for my own personal preference, I feel cleaner and sexier, my boyfriend also likes me shaved. Although I have shaved my self bald down there I prefer to leave a landing strip. I have not yet gone to get waxed, I am a little skeptical about that, although with the results lasting much longer than shaving I have been contemplating having it done.

I wax using a technique called Sugaring. It's less painful than typical wax, is cheap, and you can make it very easily at home with just water, sugar, and lemon juice. I highly recommend it. I do this b/c it takes 2 weeks to grow back & to avoid coarse shaving bumps. My boyfriend LOVES it. For more info- link

I selected other bcs I use both methods together. I could never wax my labia and soft fat tissue above the pubic bone so I shave those areas. However I wax the bikini area and the little fuzz that I have near my perrinium.

I have never tried waxing as it can be expensive and a time sponge with appointments. I shave regularly and I guess my bod has just adapted to it.

I shave about once a week down there (leaving a landing strip), and the wife trims with the clippers, or shaves depending on her mood. For us, we think it looks and feels sexier, but even more so, is cleaner and more enjoyable for oral play in that 1) you aren't having to constantly pick hairs out of your mouth, and 2) the bare skin feels soooo much better when receiving stimulation. Once I felt what it was like to have my shaved testicles touched, tickled, sucked, and licked... there was NO turning back.

The wife and I both shave - it took her a while to come around to it - but she appreciates the heightened sensitivity and easy clean up. I love the look and feel of smooth skin.

I don't do either. I just trim. I like my area neat but don't won't it bald. I'm lucky enough to be a true red and my husband thinks it looks cool.

I shave regularly. And I shave it bald. I did recently go through a completely natural state period of time, but have recently gone back to shaving. I do occasionally cut myself. As for itching, I find it decreases with each shave. I like the look and feel of my bare cunt. If you're thinking about shaving, make sure you get a real good razor and shave cream.

I way all of it every 4-5 weeks and shave in between for maintenance. I have tried going longer in between waxing but I can't stand it...the shaving bumps and/or the regrowth itching post-shave. Once I tried a full brazilian I was hooked. I don't think I could ever go back to doing it myself. And I'm in and out of the salon in under 20 minutes. Totally worth the time and $, in my opinion.

I do a Brazilian wax every 6 weeks, sometimes I leave a landing strip, and I keep it trimmed between appointments. Ever since my first wax I can never go back to shaving, waxing hurts for a day but shaving irritates my skin and makes me uncomfortable more often. The cost is worth it because I love the salon I go to and it's a nice treat to be groomed!

I have been shaving (down there) since I was 16 years old. I keep my balls and shaft shaved clean and trim the upper with a #3 guard on an electric clipper. To be honest, there is no more itching like most people think there would be since I shave every 4 days. There is no truth that shaving makes hair grow faster or thicker. To be honest, my hair folicles almost seem to have "given up" on regrowing very fast.
I do it because it looks clean (yet masculine) and seems to at least an inch visually to my penis length.
I tried waxing a few times, but ended up with a rash and it was a slightly painfull experience.

My wife shaves, but recently did about 8 treatments of lazer hair removal to make her bald. The hair grew back a bit thinner, but not enough to make a real noticable difference. We were both VERY dissapointed with the lazer treatment and the cost. She also said everytime the lazer was activated, that it felt like someone snapping a rubber band sharply on her pussy area.

Shaving is currently the most convenient and affordable method in our budget. I would like to try waxing in the future though. See if it works better for me.

I spent about 5 years completely shaved. I liked the way it looked, and my partners liked both the appearance and the smoothness for oral sex.

But then I went and worked overseas for three months. My apartment over there had the teensiest little shower, which made sitting down to shave anything near impossible. My partner and I agreed that I would let my pubic hair grow out over the 3 months, and then when we were together again he'd get to see what I was like with fully-grown pubes and know whether he liked it or not.

Surprising even to him, he likes me better with hair! I've found that I don't mind the appearance, and not having to deal with shaving is definitely a plus. I'm also finding that the extra protective layer of my hair helps make my clit just slightly more sensitive during play. That's a good thing for all involved

I shave my face and I shave my privates. It feels cleaner. I like my partners shaved. There is nothing worse than pushing around fur underpants to find a honeypot. Maybe picking hairs out of my mouth...'Dams also stay on better if there is no bushy areas to tarp over.

I shave my face because it looks cleaner and it also doesn't leave a rash on my partner.
