which birth control do you use?

I'm just wondering since I've used quite a few different methods over the years. I've also had methods fail.

thankfully, I don't need this kind of protection. but I have used several types including one not listed. withdrawing, which really isn't very good protection.

Currently condoms are used.
In the past I have used the rhythm method combined with withdrawing with a long term partner. I was also on hormonal BC for quite a few years which I was using as a backup plan just in case a condom broke with a partner. I used the pill as a back-up plan because at the time I was in an open relationship and me and my main partner had a condom mishap. We quickly realized that a back-up plan in place already is much better than a frantic trip to the Health Department to get Plan B.

I got pregnant with kid #1 on the depo shot, kid #2 on nuvaring and had the Mirena put in after birth of #2. Now, after kid #3, we only use the pull out method.

Other. Vasectomy. Wife was on the pill a while ago and it fucked with her body chemistry...all of them at varying doses. Condoms were an option for a while. Decided kids were just out of the picture and ...snip.

I use Jolessa. Just started on this one. It only has the white pills at the end of three months. Having a lot of spotting problems with it though. :/

No option for mine -- NFP. I am allergic to so much stuff...I just track my cycle and chart. Fun times!

Way back in High School my Girlfriend was terrified of getting pregnant and rightfully so, her mother was a rather tyrannical woman. Being a couple of resourceful and very horny kids, we decided that butt fucking was the way to go. I've been partial to anal sex ever since. However, after we'd acquired condoms began having vaginal sex she required me to pull out with the condom still on at the moment that I orgasmed. Given that she liked feeling me ejaculate in her butt we still did anal maybe half of the times we had sex.

Just be aware that although anal is not likely to get you pregnant, a little dribble in the wrong direction and you are at risk.

We were together long enough that I probably orgasmed in her butt about a thousand times with no "little dribble" resulting in pregnancy. Of course, her and I were both aware of that risk.

I've used the Pill for the most part. Tried the vaginal ring, and that just caused me to feel very sick. I'm now sterilized, and I still use condoms as well (for protection against STDs). One can never be too careful.

I use a pill called Orthotricyclen and we also use condoms to be super protected. I like this pill because it really doesn't make me feel slightly crazy like my old ones used to. We are all about double protection at least for right now.

I was on the pill, didn't like the side-effects. Now we have been using condoms the last year and a half. Thought about getting an IUD, but it's not worth it now in the time frame of when we plan to have children and it would be taken out in a year or so.

I just got an iud. Not sure if I will keep it though since I seem to be having a lot of side effects. I'm going to give it a couple more months though to see if it gets better.

Giving a shout to the very new nexplanon which is a thin plastic bar inserted in your arm. It lasts for three years and can be taken out any time. It's been so awesome. I forget its there most of the time.

I was on the pill for seven years and just recently stop. Though I miss the convenience I feel tons better without all hormones/side effects.

Reppin the copper IUD. Best decision I ever made, so simple, don't have to think about it, no hormones. BEST. EVER! No pill, no hormonal mood swings, no worrying that I might be pregnant because I forgot to take a pill or didn't want to wear a condom. (condoms suck in relationships, good for one night stands or just starting out. I advocate safe sex but I hate condoms!!)Being in a long term relationship I don't have to worry about wearing condoms or taking further precautions other than just going for it and then being happy. Sucked getting it put in but it's no upkeep.

For years I always used the pill--not sure I like the hormones and side affects that can go along with them. There's always a risk with things like that. Now that I know we're not going to have anymore babies...my husband made the ultimate sacrifice for me so I no longer need to worry about birth control anymore .

I've used both the shot and the pill, well and of course condoms. The shot did terrible things to my body that years later I was still recovering from. The most the pill has done to me was make me gain a bit of weight and give me some headaches. Didn't get pregnant on either, but I'm pretty ocd about taking my pill and using a condom.

I had my tubes tied last year, while I was still dating men. They're cut, tied, & burned.
