Do you worry about getting yeast infections?? And if you are someone that gets them, how often do you get them? How do you treat it?

I rarely get them. If I do it sometimes correlates with how much sugar and bread products I've been consuming. I'll do a apple cider vinegar douche and eat lots pro-biotic rich yogurts, usually takes care of it in a few days. About 5 years ago I got a bad one and I put plain greek yogurt inside and out and it got things back to normal.

Only had one once - it was during a summer when we didn't have A/C (in Florida), so it was quite obvious how it happened. Ick.

I get them sometimes, particularly when I'm pregnant. I use monistat, either 3 or 7. I hate monistat 1 - too strong. I usually get 2-4 during a pregnancy, maybe one a year otherwise. I suspect my typical American diet contributes. I don't worry about it, really. Just one of those things. Better than UTIs, which my sister gets reguarly.

Gah. I'm crazy prone to them. But only within the last 3 years (since I've become sexually active). Now I get them to the point where my gyno gave me pretty much unlimited access to fluconazole. I know all the hints- like eating yogurt, wearing cotton panties, probiotics... but nothing works for fluconazole, which I take too much of. I haven't had one in months, though *knocks on wood*

I generally avoid sugar for that reason. And of course hygiene and wearing only panties with a cotton liner.

I used to get them a lot when I was a kid, but for much of my teen and adult life I've avoided them. I had a few several months ago, the cause of which I wasn't able to discern, but overall it seems I'm not really prone to them. When I do get an infection, I use those one-and-done treatments (either monistat or a generic brand) to get rid of it. Seems to work just fine.

I get a few every year. It sucks. Eating yogurt helps prevent it. I have prescription medicine for when i get it

I only had a yeast infection once in my life and it was pure torture. So now I try my best to avoid things that might cause it to come back.
