I'm not sure I completely understand, so forgive me if I'm wrong...
You're saying that men and women are equal, yes? And your friend is saying that the woman has to do everything her husband says, because they're not equals?
I believe that the two are equal -- the women does not have to do everything that the husband wants, unless they've agreed to have that sort of dynamic.

I am not sure I completely understand either. Neither the wife nor the husband have to do everything the other wants with some exceptions (if they cross boundaries.) But when you are together, usually, you want to do everything your partner wants. There are no gender specific things at all. The wife isn't the submissive to the husband, unless that is their agreed up relationship. It works the other way around too.

Of curse not if both partys do there best to take care of the other persons needs then everybody's needs get met
