Would you trust one of these guides from the internet telling you how to make your own sex toy? I wouldnt.

Yes and no. It depends on the materials involved. Things like silicone toys can be made with minimal effort. Things made of wood or glass need a bit more skill and preparation. Things made of glass require a skilled artisan.

It really depends on the product and materials. For instance, I have a power drill, saws-all and other rotary items....but Damned if I am going to try to make a f##king machine!!!! Hell, no!!

Yeah, as much as regular sex toys; I would think about the safety just as much. I would not try making sex toys that could get stuck too easily, though, especially those linked somewhere with a cord, for I suck at placing those things solidely.

Silicone is easy to acquire, safe, and simple to mold with the right materials plus it's affordable. I'm actually super interested in making my own toys!

I'd love to make a wood toy too, just gotta find a body safe sealant, which obviously exists since there's plenty of wooden toys out there.

I really don't see any danger in making your own toys as long as you aren't messing with unsafe chemicals and plastics that you shouldn't be putting in your body anyways!

But much harder to mold well.

Wood can be easy, especially if you have a lathe. The key is sanding carefully.

I'd be tempted to customise a toy, then use something such as a Clone-a-Willy kit to make a mould of my creation, and fill it with liquid rubber or silicone to create the final product.

I have made my own toys and I plan to make more. However I don't think I have ever used an online guide. I just have skills that can be used for this kind of thing and know what I want.

I looked into some of the DIY sex toys. Some of them I just couldn't do. A lot of them were toys I get for my son. Too weird. Or they require a little too much work. Though, I'm curious to try the one of making my own little whip out of cheap bungee cords. I guess you strip the material off, and then tape it at the bottom. That's only one I'd try. There was one saying to use little traffic cones (that go on your desk) as a butt plug. Eh, I'm good. I'll stick to my designated plugs.
