I don't have to hide them for fear of roomies or kids finding them, but I do store them in various dresser drawers in my bedroom. Some are in a wooden wine bottle storage box under my bed, it works perfectly & looks kinda cool. Storing helps keep them dust & cat hair-free, because I swear no matter how much I clean, my four-legged companion has a never-ending supply of fur.
I'm usually pretty good about putting them back in storage right after they're cleaned & dried, so my cat doesn't try to play with them or eat the cords of the rechargeable toys. (weird cat has a fetish with chewing wires)
What happened once when I didn't put something up right away: Found my Tantus "Ripple" used as a chew toy. It was on the bedroom floor w/just enough cat bites to make it unusable!
