I know that every now and then my husband and I buy a toy that doesn't quite work right. We had spending money just to waste it, so we often try to modify the toys to fit us. I bought a jackrabbit with a clitoral attachment that I didn't like, and my hubby was nice enough to buy an attachment cover for it. Other toys we will actually re-design as in breaking off parts that are painful, smoothing seams down, etc.

Have you ever had to redesign a toy? Explain what toy and why you modified it. Also, how did you modify it?

used a razor blade to cut the irritating hard silicone bump off my Fun Factory Curve, a big fat dildo. Looped pretty ribbon through the chain in my Y style nipple and clit clamps to make it prettier.
Trimmed the ends of my latigo leather strap on harness because it was made to fit up to 60" hips and mine are probably about 36.

Cut the jelly coating and straps off of a strap on clit vibe to use the bullet inside instead. The toy by design sucked so we figured the bullet inside might be decent. (it wasn't)

I've cut off the hollow dildo on a strap-on because I liked the harness, but not the dildo.

I cut off everything except for the center piece on the Ripple Triple stimulator and then immediately threw it all in the garbage.

I've modified lingerie pieces with irritating bows, scalloped lacing and waistbands.

And I use a couple of the DVDs I've purchased as coasters.

My partner and I bought a Share XS, because we'd never had one before and wanted to try it. But it really is XS, and it was too small to really feel when using it. So, we put one of our old Vac-u-lock strap on toys onto it! Works like a charm.

One of the plastic vibrators I got had a nasty flaw that left a sharp point of plastic sticking up in such a way that it would have really hurt if I hadn't noticed it with my fingers first. I filed it down with my nail file.

I'm thinking of turning the flexi-dong into a science project and dissecting it.

I cut the top 4 beads off the X-10 anal beads because they were pointless. I sanded down the rough edges. It made the toy better but I still dont use it

Yup, many times. I have trimmed seams, modified bases of plugs and dildos and even changed eggs/controllers to get the vibe patterns I wanted.

I've done some seam-sanding, and some bullet-hole stuffing. One dissection of a toy I hated. Nothing major.

I am currently in the middle of trying to make a functional duplicate (that is, works the same as without being a physical copy of) the Jollies Mr. Man. It's an enjoyable project.

I cut five beads off of a set of anal beads, the X10 Silicone Beads (actually TPR and Silicone) because the set was too long and the first few beads were small. There is a video of it. Surgery on X10 Silicone Beads


I also put a jewelry type chain (an old ankle bracelet) through the retrieval loop of a butt plug and it actually came in handy when the plug when all the way in!

I have drilled holes in the bottom of dildos to allow a suction cup to be inserted. I have cut cock rings so that I could get them behind my testicles. I think I've cut off an annoying part of a cock ring as well. That's all that comes to mind right now.

I've switched out the cheapo silver bullet that comes with most vibrating c-rings for my super strong light up bullet! That's the extent of my toy mods though.
