I use hot tap water to warm toys, but mostly I just like to keep them from being cold, so I don't heat it to anything extreme.

I like to use pocket warmers that have the special salt that reacts thermally when converting from liquid to solid. This works well for temperature play. Look for pocket warmers that have a metal disk that you pop to activate. They can be used over and over. At one point Eden sold one that had its logo and it was a pink hart shape. Do not microwave salt packs.
