I love them both as well. Either can be worn long term or during intercourse. My partner and I have really had a lot of fun with beads lately. The ones with a string are difficult to clean, but they can still be extremely fun.

I never enjoyed beads, they are a bitch to isert and a bitch to clean. Plugs work very well for me.
The Ryder is basic and the NJoy plugs are awesome to wear during PIV sex and during masturbation.

I enjoy the plug vs. beads. Beads are harder to prepare for and insert and also require much more cleaning. I can usually get a plug in without much effort and the after-enjoyment clean up is much simpler.

True beads are too much trouble. Bead sticks can be OK, since they're easier to insert/remove repeatedly. Plugs can be fun, too, but they're more of a static toy.
