Does anyone buy from the Classifieds?

Does anyone buy from the classifieds? I have a couple things I want to get rid of, and have never used or opened... I just don't know if people take well to buying from the classified section on a site that already has great products.

Personally, I've not bought anything from there but I did have a student who did and I think it went pretty well. Good luck!

If you really want to sell your stuff; don't look for a big profit. I see people selling their used sex toys that cost $150 and wanting $100 out of them. Well, sorry, but I can buy a brand new one for 30% off; that makes the 150 toy, 105. Therefore I am going to spend the extra $5 to get a brand new one. You have think about the buy out assignment and go down from that price. Be sure take into consideration shipping, but still. If your item isn't at least 50% off; I am not interested.

I've sold stuff for a decent price. I bought books at a great price from the classifieds here too. I don't care to buy toys though unless they are new.

No I don't buy from classifieds. As a matter of fact, I'm a little uncomfortable every time I get a new toy since the plastic casing just easily opens and closes. The person can easily put a used toy back in the plastic casing and that's just plain gross. I wished toys had a completely sealed container like the kind you have to cut open.

Toys aren't sealed because brick and mortar stores are required to test a product in front of the customer before it leaves the store as returns are not allowed.

I have both bought and sold on there and had great transactions everytime. It's like anything else you have to have the timing and the right price. It's free to list, take a chance and see what you can get. When I buy I don't pay over 50% of the price and usually the cheaper end toys wouldn't pay over 25% of the price because there's a good chance it was a free assignmnet that someone didn't like. Be honest, bought toy X used it X times not my thing. And make sure you offer the packaging if you have it along with cleaning the toy to the best of your ability.

I've bought and sold on the classifieds, and it went really well each time.

I paid for one over 11 days ago from the classifieds and still have not rec'd it so it's not leaving a good taste in my mouth. I'd only buy certain toys used that are metal or silicone or not insertable.

I also agree that buying new toys on EF, sometimes they have no plastic or packaging and could easily have been used, but I can at least rest in peace if they are glass.

I think there should be a classifieds rating. That way we can rate our transactions. This just reassures me that this is a good idea. That way potential buyers can screen the rating prior to buying an item. I think I will pop over the build a better Eden and suggest it.

That's a good idea.

I haven't used the classifieds yet. I looked over there once, but I'm just not sure. Books would be better than toys. I'm not sure I could buy a used insertable toy. XD

When I first found EF I ran across threads about buying used toys and thought I'd NEVER do that, no matter that they could be sterilized. Didn't really give it much more thought.

It's only in the past weeks that I've really begun to explore the site beyond toy shopping and occasional posts. I didn't even look at the Classifieds until last month and I've since made three purchases - all were successful and the items were like new (one purchase was a gift card).

The toys were all silicone and waterproof and, like many others, I'll only buy toys that can be sterilized. I saved a ton of money and the sellers now have more storage space and some spending money in their pocket.

Of course, there are always a few bad apples but I tried to increase my chances of success by dealing with sellers that are active in the community.

I've had a book and like 4 pieces of never worn lingerie on there and haven't gotten one reply for any of them in 2 weeks so I don't think it's really worth it now

I would rather order straight from Eden for the most part since if it becomes defective within 60 days I can return it or exchange it. Just the same as if it doesn't fit if it were lingerie.

I've sold several things on the Classifieds lately. Like Beck said, I've seen lots of people list things on there for WAY too much money.

Personally, the reason I'm selling stuff over there is because my collection is too big, so I get rid of the stuff that just collects dust. I don't try to make a bunch of money off of them, for me it's more about getting rid of stuff that doesn't work for me. The most I've ever priced something was $25 (shipping included) for a $100 FOU with all the packaging, the charger, etc.

I've not bought anything there yet, simply because I've not found anything on there that I've really been looking for. But all my selling experiences have been very positive.

Beck, I absolutely LOVE the idea of a ratings system over there. I go to a lot of trouble to sanitize the items I ship, package them carefully, and even include a little invoice. I ship quickly, using Priority Mail and always provide a Tracking Number. I'm sorry to hear that some members have had bad experiences on the Classifieds. A ratings system (kinda like Ebay or Amazon) might be a really helpful way to weed out the disappointing transactions. At least if you pay with PayPal you have some protection on the transaction.

That's why I'm asking.. You never know who opens stuff and pretends it has never been opened. I would never sell a used toy. And I actually didn't even receive the items that I want to sell yet, just changed my mind and would rather have something from this site.

I have sold a steel boned corset on here and have to say it was a great transaction even though I'm not set up for Paypal yet (I deal in gift cards and trades atm). I also just bought a toy by having Stormy transfer some of my Eden points to the seller's account and that went well too. I honestly don't mind using the Classifieds and there's always going to be a few bad apples but I just make sure I stick with people who are active in the community and haven't had any bad remarks about their transactions.

I really like the idea of somehow having a customer feedback deal like they have on Amazon, etc. It would really benefit everyone if such a thing existed but I also understand that the folks who make such changes are very busy people.

I've bought on the classifieds and had a 50/50 good/bad experience. I've sold on the classifieds and I'm very pleased with the easiness of it and the great people that I've sold to!!

I don't know if this would be plausible/appropriate/ acceptable... but what about starting a thread where we could leave feedback on buyers & sellers? There may be some dangers in doing that, as it's a thought that just popped into my head... but maybe worth considering?
