Have you ever tried to make a toy more waterproof?

Contributor: GONE! GONE!
I just got a Siri, and it's definitely not waterproof. Not even splash-proof, since it has a big hole for the charger in the back. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with using something to plug up/cover areas on toys that make them unable to be in water at all. I don't want to take this toy in the tub with me, I just don't want to be paranoid when I'm cleaning it (I always clean under the sink with all my other toys.).

I'm not even sure how someone could do it. Maybe if I put electrical tape over the hole it would be a little safer to at least clean the business end?
