Hot Candle Wax.....Love It!

Before there was new hot oil candle waxes all you really had was the standard pillar candles to play with.

I recall our experiences playing around with our household candles, trying to make them as amazing as you either see on TV or read about in books (lol).

I had my man tied up, blind folded, candles lit (the scene always looked so freaking hot!). Teasing and tormenting. I've even had some cold champagne on standby for added sensation. Once the wax hits his skin, he'll give a hiss, indicating its probably hot as hell, so I always very quickly add some champagne to take the bite and burn away.

There is something so sexy about melting wax on skin. Then when the champagne makes it bead back up again, its pretty crazy.

I'm just wondering if anyone has used any of the oil based candles to know if they are any fun? They shouldn't be as hot and would be able to be used for massage. So, you lose the design affect that actual hardening wax will give (if that's something you like). Or, have you found any candles that burn at a better temperature for body play?

No, I don't think its weird. Have either you or your wife ever played with the room temperature and make it cooler in the room as either she drips hotter candle wax on you or vice versa? I'm not saying make it a meat locker but just a few degrees cooler in your play space. You know a little warmer than goose bump territory. less

Nope--not weird at all. That's part of the thrill.

We actually only used the champagne to add to the sensation of the hot wax on the body. The cold and bubbly against the burning hot of the wax. It gave a unique little effect. Try it. Really, the only time we even drank the stuff was when I let it dribble from my mouth to his lol. And, I may have dribbled some on different areas of his body to taste. But that was all. I usually don't care for the stuff lol. less

Its definitely not something we do a lot of . More so an extra kinky little treat.

Eden has these really great little candles that melt into oils---for those whoight be curious but not wanting to get all crazy . You can turn it into a great massage. less

Question for you Nessa, are the massage oils you and the man candy use safe/compatible to use with condoms. Being married and all, I doubt you guys still use condoms, but on the off chance you do, I'd like to know the brand of candle you enthusiasts use. less

This is one of the sets we have used link. It says its body safe and has natural ingredients but that's about as far as it goes in detail. I would have to investigate more. Since my husband (aka man candy lol) made ultimate sacrifice for me, we no longer have to mess with forms of birth control . There's another massage candle by Donna that's vanilla and edible! That's a must try. less

I've never bought like a massage candle or any of those specially made for sex (seen em in sex shops and I'm sure they've got some here. Heck I think even Lelo makes one!) But I really like the wax melts and the oil burners that are pretty popular right now.

The one we have plugs in and uses a lightbulb so no flame (big plus as fire itself makes me rather nervous and I'd be so worried about knocking a candle over or dropping it or something and curious feline is another big issue!). Anyway the wax is perfect temp in that. In fact if you stick your finger in you may still get burnt somewhat. But our warmer has this little dish on top. Wish the dish itself didn't get so hot but you can lift it off and pour from it. The wax will dry BTW. So you still get the dry wax sensation too but probably dries too fast to pour champagne (but ooh I like that idea!) Unless you pour a lot on one spot. I might be weird but I like picking off the dried wax. Comes off easy, might be even easier than with regular candles. It's a little bit more malleable than regular candle wax and will bend with your skin as and after it dries versus cracking. Don't know that you could all out massage with it but it does sort of leave a hint of oil.

Burnt my wife's breast years ago playing with an actual candle! We laugh about it now but I'm talking couldn't wear a bra the next day, bit of blister ouch burn. Oops. The wax burner/ wax melts seem a bit safer. You can get really nice heat really easy and even a bit of a burn if that's what you're after but it cools faster so you won't be blistering any skin or anything. Lots of different scents and they're reusable (well any you didn't use on your partner and yourself). Second or third burn of the wax seems to not smell as much but ha if you're using it to scent your home, save it and melt it a second time for your partner. less
