I prefer the dark cause I hate my body but we do it with or without lights really depends. If we are in the rig usually lights are off since we lay down right after to go to sleep. When we are at home the bedroom light is usually on.

Agreed. Candles, lava lamps, or (my favorite) Christmas tree lights are the best mood lighting.
