I definitely prefer to buy them online. I've actually never been to an actual adult store where they sell sex toys, and I don't really know of any in my area. It makes me feel at ease buying them online and not physically being there. Maybe if I had some male friends who were sex positive like myself, then I would go to a store with them.

I usually (used to?) like to do all my research online, review all the products, compare with different sites, see what the company websites had to say about things etc... but because I do not have a credit card, and live across all the ponds, and would really only be able to spend a fraction of time in the adult shops in the home city... because I no longer am allowed to drive... it was usually a dash in, hand over my wish list. See them all on the counter. Turn them all on. Feel them all up. Hand over money and run out.
Today, I am tickled pink to say... placed my first ever online order for anything. And I wasn't shot down by lightning!!!!
Now that I have more ideas and knowledge of toys, I felt comfortable enough to make an order online and be pretty certain that I will enjoy them.

Online is the only choise for these reasons:
1- Anonymousity
2- Prices: In my region the normal Jelly didlo of 15$ sold for 200$ and more. Don't be chocked, this is a fact

There are sex stores in nearby cities but we never visit them. I do not like the idea of standing next to strangers while I pick my toys. EF is the perfect on-line store for me!

So far I have only bought sex toys online from EF and Amazon. I would go in to a sex toy store if there was in my town. The nearest sex toy store is 45 minutes away.

It's more convenient to access, private and much easier to find what I want from an online store. The selection is also much greater, so I even find things I didn't KNOW I wanted ha ha.

I've done both but I like online stores better because like this site you can read other people's reviews and get a sense of how it works and what it's made of and pros and cons. I usually read a few reviews to get a broad sense of what it's like because you know, different strokes for different folks, no pun intended.
I do like that in real stores if you're excited about your new toy you can take it home and use it right away, whereas you have to wait for it to come in the mail... I do like getting packages in the mail though!

i prefer buy them online because then i can compare all the toys to other and find lower prices. but i also like going to the store because then i can actually see the toy and decide if its right.

online, more selection, customer reviews, and since I have a child and can't drive I can't go into an adult shop alone. With online I can browse and order all while I am watching my son play at the playground.
