Recommend a condom for our first time?

Contributor: tunacan75 tunacan75
Me and my partner mutually feel like we're ready to take the next level in our relationship, and it would be both our first times too.

Problem is, I have no idea what kind of condom to get! The only advice I've been consistently given is to avoid anything 'ribbed' for your first couple of times. Otherwise I have no idea where to begin, hence why I couldn't simply turn this post into a poll! I also know we're trying to avoid Latex as we know that both of us get dry skin from it. I would like to get them off of Eden however, as I have some spare points to spend and would like to save myself the cash, if at all possible.

If you can recommend a type that Eden doesn't sell, I wouldn't mind hearing it either. "Okamoto" and "Durex" brands seem to be the most popular off Amazon.

Thanks so much for your help guys!

I try to avoid LifeStyle just because I have had friends tell me that they break on them. Plus the lube really irritates me. Not sure if I'm just allergic to it, but I do just fine with Trojans.

I have used Trojan and Lifestyle. I haven't found much of a difference but my friend prefers Trojan because of the fact that they are REALLY durable compared to most and have non-latex forms. I like their polyurethane condoms best. It's hard to find a "normal" condom though...one with no scent, sensation, special lubes...That's what I hate about in-store condom varieties.

YES, avoid ribbed! Avoid anything heating/cooling or with special affects. The more basic, the better. You could also go on to the variety packs when you want to get more adventurous.

Thanks everyone for the tips!

Has anyone ever try the Trojan Supra Bareskin or Naturalamb latex-free types? Shame Eden doesn't carry them. I'm almost positive everything on this site is latex
