Personally I think being shaved feels better, speaking as a guy myself. I think the main reson guys tend to not shave is either laziness or a fear of emasculation..

Pubic hair on guys is such a turn off for me. Luckily my husband is usually really good about keeping himself shaved!

Trimmed, not shaved. I think shaved looks super weird. The only guys that should have naked junk are guys not old enough to have hair down there yet. And since I don't plan on having sex with the 12 and under demographic, I will always prefer trimmed, but never shaved.

A close trim is fine. I get not wanting to shave- it gets itchy! And razor burn is decidedly unattractive.

I shave the shaft and around the base and trim the hair that is left on the pubic bone. Enough hair to look manly, but the rest is clean and smooth. Better for sex, but better for running and exercise too.

I do a close trim as well as much as possible, it's hard keeping it maintained though! I really do need a better trimmer though, mine tends to leave knicks somethings which deter me from doing it often.

I'm not especially picky one way or the other, but trimmed is nice, because I get a better view of everything! I agree with someone upthread who said bald is a little weird to me, because it looks pre-pubescent. But I feel that way about women too, and everyone is different in their preferences!
