Size of toys, real vs. imagined

Contributor: BlackOrchid BlackOrchid
Last weekend, I went into a sex shop that carried some Tantus dildos. I don't own any, but I've read many reviews with pictures and was expecting certain models to be a lot bigger IRL. Have you ever bought a toy and had the size surprise you? Even if you read the dimensions prior to purchase? Please share.

They have so so many. When we are interested in a particular dildo, we do a lot of research. Some of the names are similar also. When we searched some for reviews, others with a similar names also pop up. We def read up on the dimensions and have our tape measure out to compare with our existing toys.

Yes, size is important !

Do a web search - type in the name of the product and then "comparison" or "comparison photos". A lot of us bloggers have images that will give you a better idea of the product sizes.

Specifically, the Charmer and a couple of the butt plugs as well.

Tantus A-Bomb turned out to be much larger than I expected, so much so that I have not actually been able to use it.

The A-Bomb was not one of the ones I looked at. I've watched video reviews of that one, which shows an accurate size portrayal and it is indeed huge.

I am horrible about spacial orientation. So knowing size is not my forte. I haven't made a purchase in which I was surprised about the size except for my initial vibrator but that was just because I didn't know what to expect at all.
