It's purely physical, as far as I'm concerned. It's not dirty or nasty or forbidden, it's my body! I've been into anal since before I lost my virginity, though, I can see it being different for people who are just starting to explore... but there's nothing more hot about anal sex mentally than vaginal sex mentally for me. They're both hot, neither is "dirty and naughty."
Double penetration is mentally hot for me, but that's more because of the "OMG multiple penises!" aspect than that "I'm breaking the rules" aspect.

I tend to get more excited about anal just thinking about it, since it never fails that I just have this crazy awesome idea of what anal is and no matter how many times it ends up being kind of uncomfortable or a little unpleasant, I never learn!
