What do men need to know about pelvic floor exersizers?

So I've been reading a lot about Kegels and the toys out there designed to enhance the results.

What I've read seems to indicate that using vaginal balls is no more effective than just doing the Kegels without the balls - but maybe not as much fun.

Then there is the Jopen Intensity that adds electro-stimulation to the equation. You either see electro-stim as part of BDSM - or no-sweat ab tightening - not mainstream gynecological health aids.

So here are two questions:

1. Do you think any of these tools/toys are medical useful - or just fun?

2. If you have successfully tightened things up using vaginal balls or the Jopen Intensity, do you find it harder to use some of your larger toys - like the Vixsin Johnny, Lone Star or Outlaw?

Ladies - please add any comments that will help the men on EF, help their wives and lovers.

Thanks!

I do my kegels. I have some balls and the emigi and I never noticed any benefit over just plain kegels. I also have the energie and the intensity and I think those are beneficial. My largest toy is the flurry. It's not as big as the toys you listed. Although it is bigger than it is listed on the site! It fits just the same now as it did before intensity. I don't think using intensity would change the size of the vagina, or the toy size preferences. I think it effects the muscle tone and the strength of the contractions. I think it works well enough that I briefly considered buying one for my mother who is in her 70's and has issues that this may help correct, but I realized she would be too shocked and horrified to use it!

I think they're useful in the sense that you are more likely to remember to do them when you're using the balls. At least, I remember to do them more

The Intensity seems to work the muscle tone, and it definitely works contraction strength - I didn't know I could contract quite that hard. It hasn't changed the size of the toys I use, and I haven't noticed any difference using them, but my husband has noticed a difference during intercourse, which is a good thing!

I don't think my Ami balls do much except remind me to do my kegels and make it easier to feel that I'm doing them properly. Wearing my balls throughout the day makes me remember to use my muscles throughout the day. I can also feel the muscles and tell that I'm flexing them properly because I have something to clench them around.

Gracie, Sammi & Charletnarouh - thanks for your helpful comments. I'm in complete agreement that the advantage of the balls is that they motivate one to do the Kegels - and anyway, no one's opposed to having fun while getting a little exercise.

The Intensity is a very interesting option. I'm tempted to go for it (as a gift) but I'm thinking that the second generation of this concept will be quite a bit better.

THANKS AGAIN for your help.

That is probably wise. The clit arm of the intensity is too weak to benefit me. I experimented with using Mimi or Life simultanously, but it's too complicated! I think I would prefer a version without the clit stim. It will be interesting to see what the next version is like! My intensity was a gift. It is definitly a splurge item! Save those points!
