My curiosity is, my mother always told me to wear clean panties before going out, in case I was in a car accident or had to go the hospital, everyone would think I was weird, but having no panties, is this weird or is it common?

I go through phases oddly enough.. I'll go months and months of wearing them everyday and then one day I'll just stop for a month or so. Strange!
