Though Uranus is a water based lubricant, it's a little thicker than other options that are available here. The lube will run before it's been rubbed in, but not as quickly as you would expect, making it easier to handle and use. Because of its thicker viscosity, it does make a wonderful option for anal play. Since the anus doesn't naturally lubricate itself, it's important to have something that works well and simulates natural fluids. This product does just that!
This lubricant is very slippery when first applied. The texture is very smooth and absorbs into the skin easily, while remaining slick enough for whatever play you're engaging in. The amount you need to use depends on the type of activity you're interested in using this for. Less is obviously needed for vaginal sex, but using a liberal amount for anal play is encouraged.
When using for external masturbation, you might feel the need to reapply after a period of time. The amount of time will depend on how much you used in the first place and what you're doing. As the lubricant dries, it only gets very slightly tacky but never sticky, which is a huge plus!
The lubricant pours easily from the bottle, but you need to squeeze it in order for some to pour out. The bottle doesn't leak, even when open and held upside down, so the fear of accidental spills is eliminated thanks to the design of the bottle cap.
Uranus only has a very slight smell to it, very similar to most unflavored water based lubes, which might remind you of the bubbles children blow in the summertime. It's not obvious unless you're really trying to smell it, and is even lighter when in use. This is great for someone who's sensitive to certain smells.
This lubricant isn't meant to be consumed, though it is safe to do so. Using it during oral wouldn't be the best choice, but it's not going to harm you either. There's no obvious taste, so accidentally getting some on your lips or tongue during playtime won't cause any concern, and certainly won't dampen the mood.
This medium-thick lubricant lasts a considerable amount of time, depending on the amount initially applied. When using a quarter sized amount for female masturbation, it lasted over twenty minutes without reapplication. For male masturbation: ten to fifteen minutes, and for intercourse (both anal and vaginal): at least ten to fifteen minutes. This will vary by person and depend on the amount used, activity involved, and how quickly each person's skin absorbs the lubricant.
When it's time to clean up, using a wipe is all that's necessary, and washing hands and toys with soap and water (unless your toy needs special cleaning). The lube doesn't leave a funny feeling to the skin and wipes away effortlessly, making this lubricant a wonderful, low maintenance choice.
The non-staining formula takes the fear out of a romp in the sheets! If you accidentally get some on blankets, sheets, lingerie, etc. there's no worry of the lube staining anything. Simply wash your items as you normally would, without the need to specially treat anything.
If you happen to spill some of this lubricant, use extreme caution and be sure to clean up any and all spills quickly. This lube is very slippery and could cause unnecessary damage to yourself or someone in your home if not properly cleaned up.
Always be sure to store the bottle upright. Thought it might not leak if lying on its side, it's better to be safe than have to deal with a slippery mess.
The bottle this lube comes in is far from discreet, but is very attractive in design. The plastic bottles come in two convenient sizes; 3.6 ozs and 10.6 ozs, making it easier to only get what you need.
The top of the bottle has a black cap that has all kinds of silver glitter in it and the Wet logo on the flat top. The cover has a very simple press style top; push down on the end that reads 'Press' and the opposite side will lift and reveal the pouring spout. It opens and closes easily, even when only using one hand. Before trying to pour out the lube, make sure to unscrew the cap and remove the seal.
The bottle itself is also black; the label is made up of darker colors and displays a small image of a planet and some stars, while proudly showing the title and company name in silver lettering. There's a slight dip in one area of the bottle that also has the word 'Wet' imprinted on it, which is something all their bottles boast. On the bottom of the front part of the label, it tells you that it's water based anal lube and the size of the bottle you have.
When you turn the bottle to the opposite side, you'll find the directions, warnings, ingredients, and lot number/expiration date in three different languages. 'Boldly go to the unexplored' is written on the top, along with some of the great features of this lube, which include thicker water based, hypoallergenic, and non-staining.
The bottles seem to have a very long shelf life. The expiration date on this bottle is 9/2017, so you have a long time to use it all.
Both sized bottles are not travel friendly and are not within TSA's limits. Transferring the lubricant to a smaller bottle is necessary for any air travel.
