A good all around lubricant, System JO's H2O Cool works well at what it does--cooling. If a little ice is needed to heat up the passion, this is worth a looking at. It's slippery and smooth, and lasts quite a while. The lube really makes those hot nights worth it!H2O Cool is of medium-thickness. It's thicker than water, but not as thick as an anal lube, which makes it excellent for everyday, average usage. The lubricant is not thin enough to just pour out of its bottle--you have to squeeze the bottle a bit. Once the pressure is applied, it comes out easily. Slippery and slick, it's somewhat velvety, but not as velvety as System JO's Agape. Like the Agape, this soaks into the skin well and leaves little to no residue. It doesn't feel sticky, tacky, or greasy, and leaves the skin feeling generally soft.
As for the cooling and tingling, it does cool, but there was no noticeable tingle. The cooling doesn't last long, but, depending on what you're using it for, your mileage will vary. Using toys with temperature-holding properties (metal, glass, ceramic) will hold the temperature better, it seems, and make the cooling last longer. If you're using this on the skin, such as for a handjob, you can get more cool sensations after the cooling has worn off by blowing air on it.
In all honesty, it smells like Vicks Vapor Rub, or perhaps Halls cough drops, due to the menthol in it. It also tastes a bit like what Vicks or cough drops tastes like but more chemical. The smell is only if you put your nose within an inch or two of it, and the taste lingers in the form of an odd numbness of the tongue. All in all, neither are necessarily unpleasant, but you may find that being reminded of a cold or the flu is not the sexiest thing in the world.
This could be used for a blowjob fairly successfully, one would think, and perhaps help deep-throating because menthol is often the ingredient common in blow-job mints and aids.
It has lasted through the session each time I've used it. I found, also, that it seems to encourage my juices to flow as well because of the coolness of it. It cleans up super easily--just soap and water washes it off. If you need more juice out of your lube, saliva, water, or female lubricants work well.
I know that I will use this lube a lot during the impending hot, hot summer. I really like how it feels with toys that hold on to temperatures well.
I found out that the cooling sensation doesn't work so great for anal play. It more or less burns in the bum, instead of being stimulating like it is vaginally. Once the coolness wears off, it feels fine.
As noted before, it does have parabens.
Ingredients are as follows: Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Propylene Glycol, Menthol, Purified Water.
While it may not be my "new best friend," as it indicates it will be on the bottle, it still is a pretty decent lubricant with cooling sensation. I really think this will come in handy on one of those 100+ degree days.
