Virtual Sex with Shay Jordan by Digital Playground - review by R.

In theory, what kind of porn could be greater than an interactive experience? Needless to say, I was extremely excited to try out the award winning DVD, Virtual Sex with Shay Jordan. I knew that it had all the right ingredients for a good time - a fabulous studio like Digital Playground, high definition, and of course hottie Shay Jordan. The concept seemed perfect.

However, after going through the video, I my expectations weren't met. There was more that took away from this DVD than added to it. First of all, the entire film is shot with a black background. Perhaps this is so that you can leave the location to your imagination, but instead it makes it as if Shay Jordan is just floating through space. I'd much prefer to see her on a bed, the floor, outside, or at least some real location.

I expected more detail in how interactive the DVD would be. For example, I expected to be able to choose when Shay took off her shirt, when she took off her bra, and when she took off her panties. However, with this DVD, it is not like that. She starts out already in lingerie, and you have one button that is "strip", and then she takes it all off at once. And there is not variety to the DVD - the strip will be the exact same minute long loop next time you watch.

Shay does not ask you what you would like to do, or interact with you, instead you just have buttons surrounding her such as "touch breasts", "spank", and "dildo". These all then just link you to 30 sec to 1 min loops of those exact things. The flow between these is choppy too, and so it is more like a menu for different scenes than an actual interactive DVD. Honestly, it is about the same as fast forwarding to the parts of a regular DVD that you like the most.

So, after you've seen each short clip once, there is little "replay" value in this DVD. The part that does give it variety though is that in each clip you can have the option to watch it from an alternate angle - this is usually just a close up, but it is variety none the less. Also, for each shot you can choose for Shay to be naughty or innocent. This applies to all of the scenes except the strip scene, and when she is orgasming. This is nice because it means that you will watch the DVD at least twice.

The biggest draw back of the DVD though is that you are not alone with Shay. Although it is suppose to virtual sex with her, you have a stand in that plays you, and unfortunately this guy is not all that generic. You see his legs, his arms, and his dick in her, and around her instead of yours, and his guy is covered in tattoos; so, I know that its definitely not me. He is a white Caucasian guy, so you may or may not relate to his look and body type, but I know that I did not, and this took away from the video for me. I just wanted to see Shay.

On the upside of the DVD, Shay is sexy and fun to watch. She talks to you and you want to talk back. Unfortunately, each time you interact with her, she has the exact same response, and you only have so many choices.
