Jock Strap by Vivid Man - review by Tidwtrguy

The cover of this DVD had some hot pictures of some hot guys and an interesting story line. On the back cover, it reads, "Did someone say 'tight end?' The story of five hunky, cock-happy footballers who pull together to save their asses...on the field and off. And after their star quarterback gets abducted by horny survivalists, a lot more than the game's at stake!" The main movie runs approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Once I got the movie going, the hot guys were there, but the acting and the plot didn't do much for me. When I rent or buy a porn video, I want something that gets the juices flowing and heats things up. In Jock Strap, the 'rough' acting made me lose some interest. Don't get me wrong, there was enough action to make my jock strap tighter than when I started the movie, but I would have enjoyed these hot actors if they didn't say a word. To confirm my suspicions and get a second opinion, my boyfriend watched some of it with me, but after a few minutes he decided to iron clothes for work the next day. Some of the sex scenes were drawn out longer than I cared for, but on the bright side of things, almost all of the guys were pretty easy on the eyes (nice to look at). The actors were tone, firm and attractive. If they just stuck to hot sex scenes, I would have liked this much more.

Unless you are going for the erotica genre, acting and a plot in porn movies can be counterproductive. For gay movies, and particularly one called "Jock Strap," I was hoping for more jock and less talk. Luckily for the horny viewers, your remote probably has 'mute' and 'fast forward.'

What I did like on this DVD were the extras. Either from the main menu or from the interactive screen (set in the lobby of a theater), you can navigate your way to 'screening rooms' off the main lobby. In addition to sneak peeks (6 clips of Vivid gay movies, one of which is Jock Strap), there were screening rooms called "Men Men Men," "Tough Guys," and "Super Suckers." These extra clips were not from the main movie, and all the guys and scenes were very hot. Super Suckers had four clips totaling 18 minutes of sucking, rimming, and cumming. Tough Guys had almost 19 extra minutes of some bigger, burly guys (but still in shape) going at it, as well as a hot solo scene with one skinnier guy in jeans and some leather. Men Men Men is four clips with 22 extra minutes of hot bodies having hot sex with some extraordinary cum shots for the finale in each clip. There was also 5 minutes of photos from Jock Strap in one screening room.

The extra scenes got four stars and the main movie two stars, for an average of three stars overall. I enjoyed the extra scenes, more than the movie itself. Another good thing about this DVD is all the anal sex scenes involve condoms. A lot of people like bareback scenes, but those movies send a dangerous message. Play safe and have fun!

The DVD is still in my collection and does the job when I want something different to help pass a quiet, but erotic evening.
