Dinner Party by Vivid

Vivid Entertainment produced the “Dinner Party” for your dining pleasure! This movie is based on porn stars getting together for dinner, and discussing their career choices. After watching this film, you will never be able to attend a “normal” dinner party again without thinking of this film.

The film consists of one disk that lasts approximately two hours. However, the first six minutes or so are advertisements for sex phone lines, and other movies. There is even an advertisement for male herbal supplements to enhance their performance. The movie is geared towards couples and straight parties, per the advertisement for the film.

Besides the advertisements, this disk also includes a behind the scenes segment, positions room, vivid girl extras, and interviews with the stars. The disk is also DVD-ROM compatible, contains chapter selections, and has a web site access section. There are also previews to the main event. According to the disk cover, the film was shot in high definition and can be viewed on a wide screen television, which we don't have.

The film actually had very little to do with a dinner party, only showing small segments of the characters at a dining room table. These scenes were on a split screen, showing two small pictures at one time. The conversation was hard to hard and understand. Now, whether this was just on my copy or on all copies, it was aggravating to try to hear and follow. However, since this was only a small section of the film, it wasn't that significant. The scenes were filmed at various locations of the house, which, by the way, is a really nice house!

Shortly after the dinner party began, Monique Alexander announces that she does not watch her own films. She then quickly gets busy with Derrick Pierce, forgot all about the guests and eating; at least “real” food. They quickly became very active, entertaining each other and performing pleasing acts on each other. This was the main scene and only involved the two of them. Their scene includes both oral sex on each other and penetration by Derrick.

After this segment, the producers went to an interview with Monique. This was a strange break in the flow of what was going on. It totally distracted me and made me lose the build-up of arousal. They did this several times throughout the film. Although I am not an expert on DVDs by any shot of the imagination, I found this to be a definite negative on the rating of the film. The other films I have viewed have interviews at the end, not interrupting throughout the film.

The scenes following the first one were all threesomes, with two females and one male. There was the usual loud moaning and groaning, that is apparently “the thing” to do during the films. Both women were giving the guys head and riding him, alternating positions and acts that they were performing. The cameras did provide some strange and interesting angles during the acts.

There was definitely lots of sex, both oral and intercourse, but very limited anal sex. Most scenes were pretty similar in nature, only using different dinner guests to perform the tasks. There was some girl on girl action but a male was always present. Doggie style penetration seemed to position of choice for most of the guests.

I ordered this film for my hubby for Father's Day, along with several other items. I previewed it prior to watching it with him. I actually almost fell asleep while watching it. Later, we watched it together and although we had a great time afterward, I don't think it was related to the film. I don't think this is one of those DVDs that will be pulled out and watched over and over.

We did watch the film one more time, and it was still boring. It has been put in the bottom of the cabinet where all of our movies are kept. I don't know if we will watch it again or not, but probably not for a while.
