Seoul Sisters by Wicked Pictures - review by BrokeNHorny

This is a sixteen hour DVD collection. It's part of Wicked Picture's Sweet 16 series. As the title might suggest, this is a collection of scenes containing Asian women. I know it only says Seoul, but there are more than just Koreans in this film collection. In order to fit this massive collection in, they stretched it across four separate DVDs and crammed them all into one regular sized DVD case. There is an external cover slip, with a few pictures and some descriptions, but it’s mostly just the DVD cover over again.

With sixteen hours to fill, you’d expect a lot of content and a lot of variety. There is, in fact, a lot of content, but some of the variety is questionable. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of scenes. There are twenty to twenty four scenes on each disc, with scenes ranging from 5 to about 25 minutes. There are a lot of different scenes, setups, and (somewhat unfortunately) times. Some of the videos on the collection are very old. Judging by the hair, I’d say some 80’s and some early 90’s. While I have nothing against using older footage, the film quality is very poor.

Another thing that bothered me was the lack of variation in the cast. At times, it seems like the collection is chronicling Randy Spears on a quest to have sex with more Asian women than Genghis Kahn. I’d say that every other scene contains Randy Spears, Evan Stone, Kaylani Lei, or Asia Carrera. I understand that all of the scenes come from Wicked Picture’s vault and they use the same actors and actresses a lot, but it was a bit excessive. It feels as if they really didn’t have enough material to fill sixteen hours, but used everything they could just to claim the big number.

The settings change a lot, but all of it seems very mainstream. All of the scenes come from mainstream movies and there are very little differences in the material. I’d say one in four is girl on girl. One in eight contains some kind of anal. There is one brief (and very lackluster) squirting scene as Lily Thai makes her one cameo. One in twelve is old with very poor film quality. My only real other gripe is that the scenes aren’t in any particular order. It is nice that they put chapter beaks right before every “pop shot” and at the beginning of every scene. It’s still off putting that you have no real idea or control over which scene is next. The collection would be greatly enhanced if you could selectively choose your scenes, but that is not really plausible on a DVD.

I don’t mean to put the movie down all that much though. It is a good and very large collection of scenes. I know some people are against putting the title and actors at the beginning of each scene, but I think it’s helpful. For twenty two dollars, it’s a lot of content; that’s really what the movie is going for. If you can deal with the overall lack of variety, it’s a very good collection to have.

While this is a good collection, the lack of consistency and the volume of content that you have to sift through detract from the long term experience. I can't really say that I've given this one too much thought since I finished with the initial review. This is a clear case of quantity over quality backfiring. It's good, but it would have been better if they had been more selective.
