Superhero movies are on the rise again at the box office, and so are their porn parodies on DVD. With The Amazing Spider-Man set to open this summer, Vivid hits the street first with Spider-Man XXX (A Porn Parody).

Spider-Man XXX is directed by Axel Braun, who directed others in the Vivid Superhero series. It stars Xander Corvus (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Capri Anderson (Mary-Jane), Dick Delaware (Electro), Ash Hollywood (Gwen Stacy), Brooklyn Lee (Black Widow), Sarah Shevon (Betty Brant), Rob Black (JJ Jameson), Tyler Knight (Robbie Robertson), Peter O’Tool (Kingpin), and Seth Dickens (Flash Thompson).

The DVD comes sealed in plastic and the case has a cardboard front. Inside, behind the front cover, is a comic book roughly the size of the case. It's illustrated by Matt *Core and features 8 pages of Spider-Man's sexual exploits in full color.

The movie is presented in widescreen with good picture and clear sound. Its running time is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Extras on the disc include a non-sex version (which runs 21 minutes), chapter search, positions menu, 13 minutes of behind the scenes footage, a photo gallery, and previews of other Vivid parodies. You also get some Vivid extras and offers.

I enjoyed this movie. Although it's not quite on the same level as a few other parodies I really like, it's done quite well. A few parts are very, very funny. The part I particularly enjoyed – in fact it made me laugh out loud - was the upside down kiss in the alleyway between Spider-Man and Mary-Jane. The set up; Spider-Man going up in the alley, then dropping down upside down; Mary-Jane lifting his mask to bare his mouth; the kiss with much more tongue; Spider-Man rising…and then dropping down lower with his cock at mouth level. This parodied the original very well, and very amusingly.

I did think the scene with Gwen, Mary-Jane, and Flash was a bit dark – it's the darkest-filmed of the sex scenes and it can be a bit tricky to get a good view of the action. But, throughout, the sex scenes were good and hot, the acting was decent, and the movie was pretty enjoyable. I'd recommend this if you like some plot with your porn and you enjoy superhero movies.
