Strip chocolate checkers review

Strip Chocolate Checkers is a great gift (even if its for yourself). It was some of the most fun we have had together in the several years we've been married.

extremely useful review
Do you really want to win? Or do your really want to lose? Or better yet, is there really any way to lose? Choclaholics has taken a simple, little game and added a great new twist (or two).

Have you ever played regular checkers? Then you know how to play this game (Strip chocolate checkers) already. But that is where the rules begin to change a bit. Getting jumped in regular checkers, you lose the piece off the board. Getting jumped in strip checkers, you loose your piece that is made of chocolate to your opponent, but you also loose an article of clothing. And the fun does not stop there.

After removing that piece of clothing, the one who jumped you then picks up a Jump card. On that card are a variety of ways for them to enjoy eating that piece of chocolate. Who thinks up this stuff? (Give them a medal or something.) And just so you don’t think it’s always a double reward for the winning jump, some of the cards also have you remove exactly what they just did. It is a great deal of fun.

Be ready for surprises. You can buy more game chocolates, which by the way are absolutely delicious. But if you were like us and could not wait for them to be shipped, you can also use other items. White and dark chocolate candy kisses work well. And although it is sometimes interesting to reinterpret the cards, M&M candies can also be used. Just pick a color and have a blast.

This is a product that is made well, packaged elegantly, and makes a wonderful gift for a couple you know really well. Almost all adult games today involve drinking in some fashion. I am not saying you should not do that as a couple, but some people do not want to nor do they feel the need to use alcohol. This is a game that does not ask you to drink a thing. If you wanted to add it, you could, but you do not have to skip cards or turns because a game told you to drink and you did not want to.
Follow-up commentary
Don't play as much as we used to. But I think we should get this one back out again... A weekend away might be just the ticket for this little game

Hey Butterkups you never answered my question. Are you still playing this game?
  • Contributor: Mamastoys
If only it came with the option of sugar free chocolate. I would have all the chocolate ate before we played and then crash with high blood sugar...or be hyper..hubby might like that!
have you continued to play the game??
    thanks for the review!!!

You could find some sugar free chocolates at your local store and substitute them if you wished to.

Thanks for the review! What's the replay value? Is it worth breaking out and playing multiple times in the future?
