DON'T Do it Weird Kit

This kit is a whole lot of silly. For those of us who sext, this kit doesn't add a whole lot of excitement. I find it more tacky than anything else. However, you can use some of the items in other various ways to get use of the kit.

Purpose / Audience

This has got to be one of thee most ridiculous products I have ever reviewed. Its purpose, although not described in detail, is to "bling your body for hot sext". Seriously? This must have been made by an older, out of touch with technology, sexting virgin. The idea is to use the items in the pack to decorate your body and take pictures of the result. Then you'd send the pictures to try to entice the recipient and arouse them.
I think that most of us avid sexters would snicker instead of get aroused if we received a message by someone who used this. Not all is lost however! You can get creative with the variety of contents in this kit. And if all else fails, you can use the gems to bling your cell phone or ipod instead of your body.

Rules / Content

Well, there are no rules. That's because this is isn't a game. There are six different elements to this kit and there are no instructions included.

1. A "junk" ruler
2. 9 temporary tattoos
3. 100 adhesive gems
4. 16 naughty stickers
5. 40 emoticon stickers
6. 52 adhesive letters

All of this fits in a small, thin, cardboard box. It says "Do it!" and "sexting kit" with the contents on the front. This is over an image of an animated male torso being seen through an iphone. The back shows the contents of the pack and an image of a female torso with some of the contents on her.

Design

1. The junk ruler is...junk. It is a flimsy piece of folded up cardboard. At each notch of an inch there is a different "milestone". For some examples 1"-You're in trouble, 4"-Almost there, 9" This is gonna hurt. I find this piece to be completely dumb. It might be good for a one time laugh, but that is about it. The writing is so small that it would be hard to photograph with the average cell phone anyways.

2. The temporary tattoos are all very small. The largest is just under three inches long. They are all solid black and have a tribal animal theme with butterflies going on. They are all printed on the same piece of tattoo paper. I suggest cutting out the one you want before trying to apply it to the skin with warm water. For those who have never used a temporary tattoo, they are easy to put on and remove. Cut out the one you want and remove the protective pane. Prep the area that you want to apply the tattoo to by using rubbing alcohol or skin astringent. Press it to the area and then place a warm wash cloth over it for about 30 seconds before peeling the paper off. You can spray it with hairspray to lengthen its life. To remove, use rubbing alcohol.

3. The adhesive gems are the most useful part of the kit, in my opinion. There are 100 in total, 50 circles, and 50 tear drop shapes. You simply remove them one by one from the sheet and apply them to prepped skin (the same process as the tattoos). You can also place them to things other than skin...cell phone, panties, swept up hair, condom wrappers (seriously, whatever).

4. The 16 naughty stickers need to be cut out one by one. It would be batter if they had outlines to peel from the sheet. then it would not be so time consuming. They say things like "Suck it!", "Rub n' Tug", and "Motor Boat". The ones that are not text are arrows.

5. The 40 emoticon stickers are the most useless in terms of this theme. Who would put little smiley face emoticons on them selves? That's what the TEXTING part is for... They too are not individually cut, so you have to do it yourself.

6. The 52 adhesive letters... someone can't count. There are actually 104 letters. This is the most annoying part of the kit to use. Each letter has to be individually. Who has that kind of time for a sext?

Personal comments

Honestly, this kit was a flop for us. He didn't want to use any of it, and I only used a few pieces for fun. I think this product has a decent idea, but comes off tacky and silly. It's best given as a gag item. If used, it will probably lose its appeal after a use or two. Good thing it is appropriately priced. If you are hoping to get a lot out of this product, you might be dissapointed that while it does have a lot of pieces, the idea gets boring quickly. I would not purchase this again unless I wanted to get it as a funny gift. The pieces do not even photograph very well. My advice, stick to regular un-blinged sexting!
Follow-up commentary
This product has proven to have little to no use for my partner and I. I never even opened the other set we have! I don't recommend it to anyone for practical use, but it would make a great gag gift for a bachelorette party.
