Pleasure Island is a great game to enhance the foreplay and sex in your life. This game has a lot of fun built inside, but you may need some extra supplies to fully enjoy what the game has to offer.


Let me begin with the design of the game. This board game is quite sturdy and made of quality material, so it isn't easy to bend or break apart. There are 2 game pieces I will call pawns (red and black) that are used to move through out the board on your pleasureful journey. There are two types of cards that you will have to draw game during game play. The first set is called "Pleasure Chest". This cards are mostly playful cards that help enhance your arousal. The other set is called "Prisoner of Love" and are more of a teasing type card that is meant to torture your partner and have them begging you for more.


As far as game play goes, the object of the game is to have players move their game tokens through a tropical island full of romance and passion. The player first to land on the "X" at the end of the game can choose to keep the game going by selecting two cards from each card pile (explained later) and performing the activities. You both begin at the "Start" space and roll a die to move the certain number of spaces where each square holds its own adventure. The first half of the game board consists of mostly small acts that are written on the game board. Examples of these are "Give your partner a neck and shoulder massage", "1 minute of passionate kisses", and "Lick you partner's inner thighs". This half is designed to start arousing your partner and yourself.


The second half is based of the two sets of cards, "Pleasure Chest" for acts your partner performs on you and "Prisoner of Love" for acts you perform on your partner. The game board has pleasure chests or locks that when you land on you pick a card from the designated set. These cards are more detailed acts to are design to really get your engines going. Examples of these cards are "Tie your shipmate's arms and legs while they are laying face down on the bed. With your shipmate's legs spread open, enter your shipmate where ever they desire" and "Using an edible treat, play a game of tic-tac-toe or edible hangman on your stomach. After the game is over have your shipmate lick it off". I found that these cards are based a lot on bondage and often require you to tie and blindfold your partner up. Some cards require massage oils or edible treats that you'll place on each others' bodies during the act the cards says to play out. This was a bit of a hassle to my partner and I because you would have to tie your partner up perform the act then untie your partner and roll the die for the next turn. You may also have to clean up the edible treats you placed on your partner. So the arousal factor may go down and may lose some interest by the end of the game. My partner and I would have to end up skipping a few cards just because we didn't have the proper items to perform the act, so be aware of this. Items you may have handy for this game are edible treats such as whipped cream or choc. syrup, rope, blindfold, and a vibrator or other sex toy that enhances arousal.

Overall the game lasted for us between 25-35 minutes each time we played, but that can vary depending on how long you want to draw the activities of each adventure out. Certainly the clear cut way of playing this game is how its explained on the box, but if you get creative you can certainly find other ways to use the cards to enhance the moment. I found this to be a well designed game for foreplay and enhance your arousal factor to get you both in the mood.
