Pecker party necklace - gags discontinued by Pipedream - review by ~LaUr3n~

INTRO/USE/PURPOSE:

Pipedream makes a ton of novelty and gag stuff for bachelor and bachelorette parties. I stocked up for quite a few upcoming parties and one that just passed. One of the things I got was this "Pecker Leid Necklace". It was a total hit. It was also more durable than I expected. I was pleased with this because the price was a bit higher than most of the other little things I got. I was hoping this wouldn't fall apart right away. It actually never did!

DESIGN:

The necklace lei is pretty thick and long. It is about 18" long and has a mini penis placed every few inches. They stick out every which way and are very obvious! If you want something funny, slightly embarrassing, and totally attention seeking...this necklace is perfect for that.

MATERIALS:

The main part of this is the thin plastic pieces used to make the fake leis. They are not the colors in the photo though. Mine is alternating pink and orange. I really didn't care about color though. If you really want blue for some reason, I would suggest emailing Eden first to see what color their stock is.

The penises are made of a very hard plastic. I doubt they will break. None of mine did. Sometimes during wear, they even clink together a bit. I was all for anything that draws more attention to the bride to be!

FIT/COMFORT:

The 18" is more than long enough to go over the head easily. It is a little short though because it got in the way of all the other stuff she was wearing. For example, she had a ribbon and pecker pin on also. It would have been better if this was a tad longer. The bride to be was also adorned with some sexy cleavage and this covered that up a bit. Some might care about this, while others don't. It was a bit irritating around her neck after a few hours and so we starting taking turns wearing it.

DURABILITY/HOLD UP:

After hours of downtown drinking, bumping into people, mingling, and dancing, the necklace was still intact by the end of the night. The quality is much higher than other leis I have received at other parties. With those, I liked to pull on the leis and unravel the whole thing. I couldn't do that with this one. I also expected some of the penises to fall off. None of them did. This necklace could totally be used for more than one occasion and is something that the bachelorette can take home with her as a keepsake that will probably last forever. Hubby might have some questions though!

PACKAGING:

This comes in a plastic bag with a stapled cardboard top-nothing special. After taking it out the first time, it could be used again if it is closed with tape.

This was a great buy and did not disappoint! It got people to laugh and also was an icebreaker. My bride to be had a great time and loved that this survived the night for her to keep.

My not happily married friend was able to keep this since it held up and even passed it along to her now sister-in-law for her bachelorette party. Although not the most comfortable, the durability can allow it to be like the Traveling Pants...pass it around your circle of friends!
