Playful party straws - gags by Cal Exotics - review by Teagan Shepard

I saw these pecker party straws up for review, and naturally I had to add them to the stash for Friendgirl's bachelorette party.

The pecker straws are made of substantial plastic. They're not like the thin, flimsy straws from Mickey D's. They're long enough to use with coke cans, though not hurricane glasses. However, they are flexible enough to be bent without cracking the sides. You know what I mean about cracked straws, right? They just don't suck like they should!

They come in packs of ten: five hot pink, five black. The balls are even lopsided.

The hole up through the center is plenty large enough to use for frozen drinks like margaritas or daiquiris without clogging.

If you wish, you could hand wash the straws and reuse them, but please hand wash them and don't put them in the dishwasher. You'll most likely end up with shrinky-dinks rather than anything usable.

The only downside to these is that they only come in tens, and they only come in split color packages. If black and pink don't match the colors for your party, even though it seems these are the most popular colors for bachelorette party supplies, then these straws will not work for your party.

I'd love to see CalExotics have similar straws that are longer so they could be used for deeper drinks. I'd also like to see them in solid color packs, like all pink or all black.

There's nothing notable to say about the packaging: there's a plastic bag with a cardboard fold-over top, stapled together. It's not really made for storing any leftovers or reusables. It is, however, decent plastic that will stand storing before use if necessary.

I'm really looking forward to using these with the rest of the CalExotics bachelorette supplies I've already gotten together for Friendgirl's party. I just wish she'd set a date already!
