Although this kit comes with all the important materials, there were still some other tools I needed to get, including scissors, duct tape, a mixing bowl, measuring jug, wooden spoon, a disposable cup, a small piece of cardboard and a bin liner.

While my boyfriend was 'preparing' himself, I laid out the bin liner on the ground and filled the mixing bowl with the molding powder. When he was fully erect we measured his penis against the molding tube and realized his penis had a slight bend in it which meant it would press against the side of the tube and potentially ruin the mold. This issue is addressed in the instructions which suggest you cut the end of the tube off at a slight angle, twist it 180º and duct tape it back on. It was a bit awkward to cut into it initially but if you squeeze the sides of the tube together it makes it much easier. I tried to make the edge as smooth as possible then covered it with some tape so it wouldn't hurt my boyfriend.

I let the tap run for a moment until it was heated to just a little over the required temperature (98ºF, which is clearly marked on the included thermometer) so I wouldn't have to rush into the next step, and then filled a measuring jug to 425mL. When the temperature was right I poured the water into the bowl with the mixing powder and began stirring quickly with a wooden spoon. I mixed it up for 60 seconds and very shortly after my boyfriend had put his penis into the tube the solution started to solidify, so I think any much longer than 60 seconds would be too long.

He stayed like that for 5 minutes to ensure the mold took shape, after which he had removed his penis from the mold we found that the joint where the two pieces were taped together had started to pull apart slightly on the interior of the tube and was slightly compressing the top of the mold making it become more oval-shaped. We decided to continue regardless and waited a few hours to give the mold a chance to set. I used this opportunity to clean up and found it really easy to wash the dried molding solution off my mixing bowl and wooden spoon, as it all just clumped together and came off in big sections. It was especially useful to put a plastic bin liner down instead of a towel, as you can just throw it straight in the trash.

After the mold had set, I emptied out the excess water. Then I got a small piece of cardboard and stabbed a hole into the center so I could poke the vibrator through it and I placed this on the mold to check that the alignment was suitable for my finished vibrating clone. Then we poured all of the liquid rubber and liquid skin into a plastic disposable cup and mixed it together for a few minutes using the stirring stick provided.

As our tube was bent, we taped it at an angle inside a measuring jug to keep the top straight before filling the mold with the rubber mixture and resting it against an object to stop it from falling over, then taped the cardboard/vibrator in place and left it for 24 hours to set. Rather than pull the clone out of the mold and risk damaging it, I cut the tube off then pulled the mold apart instead.

Our finished clone is curved, so there is a part on it where you can see the vibrator underneath as the rubber is thinner. There is also a small defect where the rubber mixture had seeped into a gap where the two tube pieces met.

The base of the clone is more oval-shaped than it should be because of the issue with the tube compressing against it. If the tube had been a complete piece rather than having to tape two pieces together, I think the clone would have come out perfectly.

Another issue is that the rubber material smells very strong. It's so off-putting that I have rarely used my clone since making it and have to keep it wrapped in a zip-lock bag inside another bag to keep the smell from absorbing into my other toys.

As for the vibrator that's supplied in this kit, which just takes one AA battery, it's only a single speed and I found it to be quite loud.

Overall, it was a challenging and fun experience to make the clone with my boyfriend, but it's more of a novelty than a sex toy.

The detail on my clone is amazing but the horrible odor is still lingering and it leaves my other toys smelling nasty too, so I have to keep it separate from them and wrapped in many layers of tissue paper inside a Ziploc bag. It was a fun experience to make the clone but not worth the price for something I'm never going to use. The only use I get from it is as a guide when trying to find a dildo which is the same size as my boyfriend's penis.
