Pure plug 2.0 - butt plug by Njoy - review by ToyTimeTim

Ah, Njoy...just saying the name brings a twinge to my ass, a quickening of my pulse and dreams of orgasmic bliss. And for good reason too, no other company has taken stainless steel to such levels of quality, form and function. The quality is unmatched; the mirror like finish is like the best chrome on a show car. The form of the 2.0 is stimulating, not just because of the size but the divots feel awesome when you turn the toy back and forth. Function, this is a plug. As such, it should stay in, be comfortable for long term wear and not get in the way when sitting or during sex with a partner (for the lady folk). That it does admirably. Stainless is the best material for temperature play as well.

Let’s take a closer look at the Pure Plug 2.0, shall we?

First, let’s talk about the material, Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel is defined as "A steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5 or 11% chromium content by mass. Unprotected carbon steel rusts readily when exposed to air and moisture. This iron oxide film (the rust) is active and accelerates corrosion by forming more iron oxide. Stainless steels contain sufficient chromium to form a passive film of chromium oxide, which prevents further surface corrosion and blocks corrosion from spreading into the metal's internal structure." (Taken from Wikipedia) So what does the mean to the sex toy enthusiast? Plain and simple, it will last forever with just a little care. It also meant that it is non-porous and can be completely sanitized. Most of the instruments used for surgery are made out of Stainless Steel; it certainly is good enough for personal use.

To clean Stainless, you can; Boil it for 3-5 minutes, use a toy cleaner or wipe, anti-bacterial soap and water or a bleach solution. If you go with the bleach option, be advised, if left on the stainless it will etch or pit the finish. For this reason I do not recommend it. Another thing to be careful about is using abrasive soaps, you can scratch the surface. While this does not mean the end of your beloved toy as it can be fixed/polished back out, it does mean that the beautiful finish will be gone.

Next, let’s talk about the form of the 2.0. This plug works in so many ways, from the tapered tip all the way down to the handle that keeps it from being lost. The tip of this plug starts out thin and gradually tapers out. From the tip all the way through the bulbous part of the plug, it is an oval shape. This helps tremendously during insertion. The anus may look round but due to the legs and butt cheeks it is more oblong than round when you think about it. There is four 'divots' in the largest portion of the plug, I am not sure why they put them there but they do help to lighten the toy and make the surface area a bit smaller. This helps when the toy has a circumference of 5 3/4".

Note: The name suggests that this toy is 2" in diameter, while the product page lists it at 1 3/4". How could this be? Well, it's both. ha-ha First let’s take a look at it from the front of the plug.

As you can see it has an oval shape to it. Measured from top to bottom it is 2" (thus the 2.0), from side to side it is 1 3/4". When I measured it with a cloth tape, I get 5 3/4" cir.. This divided by 3.14 (pi) gives us 1.83 or roughly 1 13/16".

Confused? Ya, I was too. But let me just say this, I also have the mighty Njoy Eleven, the large end is a perfectly round 2" in diameter. The 2.0 goes in my ass way easier than the Eleven's two inch side and feels just like the 1 3/4" side. Remember what I said about the anus being oblong? There you have it.

Next on the list is the neck or area below the bulbous area of the plug. The drop from the body of the plug to the neck drops pretty fast. When the largest area of the plug gets past your inner sphincter it 'plops' in with authority! Best be ready for it, your ass is going from 1 3/4" (or so) down to 3/4" before you can say "oh god!" From there the neck tapers down to 1/2" before meeting the handle.
