The Gold Laced G dildo by SSA Glass is made of ribbed Pyrex glass. This glass dildo is very elegant, with gold glass ribbing along a slightly curved shaft. The toy is a little over six inches long, with six inches insertable. The base is 3 1/2 inches, which is a nice size for holding onto and works well with anal play because you don't have to worry about the toy slipping! This toy is also nonporous and can be easily sterilized with boiling water or cleaned with mild soap and water or toy cleaner. Oil-, silicone-, and water-based lubricants can all be used with this toy.

I was initially a little bit nervous about using a glass toy, but this one feels really sturdy. Because it is made of Pyrex glass, this toy is shatter resistant and safe. Because it is made of glass, the Gold Laced G dildo can also be warmed up or cooled down. We had a hard time getting it to the right temperature at first. I tried holding it under warm water, but using it anally, we found that it was just a little too warm. I would recommend starting out with lukewarm water, to get it to room temperature or holding it between your hands to heat it up. I look forward to experimenting with cooling this toy down, too.

I found that this toy was a little bit thin for use vaginally. It's only about 1" thick, which isn't ideal for my body. I usually prefer toys with a little bit more girth. As an anal toy, this is just about perfect for my partner and me. It's thin enough to be comfortable and the ribbing is definitely a nice addition. The curve may be useful for g-spot stimulation for some, but it just wasn't long enough for us. Also, because this toy is glass, it isn't flexible, which is something to keep in mind.
