Spectra gel vibrating anal toy - anal vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Evie Erotica

The Spectra Gel Anal Vibrator was designed with anal penetration in mind. With it's bulging curves and transitional size training, this one is user friendly to even the biggest newbie of anal beginners... if you can stand the material.

It includes a vibrator to provide penetrating sensations to the hole of your choice as well. Power queens will not appreciate this one because of it's weak vibrations. While this one did fall flat for me, I can see a lot of people liking it.

This toy is also completely waterproof so you can enjoy kinky play sessions in the bath or shower. This toy is also soft enough to allow for double penetration for the beginners wanting to venture into such play.

I noticed that this toy is listed as a plug-in the description, however, it is not designed for such and will prove to be way too slippery and curvy to stay in place.

Unfortunately, this vibrator is made out the horrifying material, Jelly. Which rates at a very low 2 on the safety scale. It is very porous, sticky and has a strong odor to it. As you would expect, a toy made of this material should never be shared, especially anally, without a condom. This is the same type of jelly, (also by Doc Johnson) that I have had reactions to before. It causes a burning sensation for me and makes me nauseous.

The biggest thing that made me dislike this toy was the smell. It smells like one of those thick pool liners from when I was a kid. It's nauseating and the smell gets stuck on everything. Even after three deep cleanings, it smelled very strongly. I even let this toy air out for a WEEK to let the smell fade and it still never subsided. The taste is exactly the same as it smells, and it also sticks to your mouth and tongue for a while. I had to chew minty gum to get it to go away.

While the texture is very smooth and flexible, this is just not a toy I would buy again.

I was very excited about the design of this vibrator and I love that it has comfortable size training bulges. The tip is very floppy and can prove to make penetration difficult, especially when lube is involved.
At 9 inches long, this toy is very large and pretty bulky. While it is so long, only 7.5 of that is insertable, the other 1.5 inches is the battery chamber. It's a nice size but is not discreet at all and you can very obviously tell that this is a sex toy.

One of my complaints about this toy is that it is advertised on here to have a full length vibrator inside the jelly shell, Mine did not. It had about a half size one that took one AAA battery, rather than the two AA batteries the package claims it takes. (The product page here says it takes one AA battery)

As I said before this toy is listed on the packaging to take two AA batteries to operate the vibrator inside the jelly sleeve. Upon opening, I discovered that this toy took one AAA battery to operate the much smaller vibrator mine featured.

This has a basic, twist to operate vibrator included with it, inside the jelly sleeve. It is about 4 inches long and provides fairly weak vibrations but they are evenly distributed through out the toy. There are three vibration settings on the twist dial. Turn slightly for light vibrations, turn half way for medium vibrations and turn all the way for higher vibrations.

The jelly material did do a very good job of masking the noise of the vibrator and only gets two bees from me on the noise scale.

It is waterproof, though I did not use it in water, the battery compartment does have the rubber ring to ensure that water does not get into the electronics during use.

Because this toy is made of jelly, it cannot be sanitized by boiling. I always clean my toys with my favorite foaming toy cleaner, by WET. This made cleaning a breeze. However, do not use strong soaps with this material, stick to mild soap or toy cleaner.

I stored this in a plastic storage container with an air tight lid, like I do the rest of my toys. Unfortunately, this smelled up the entire container and I was afraid to store it with other toys because of this.

Also, this toy can be used with water based lubricants or silicone based. Oil based lubricants are not recommended.
