A Cheap Beginner Toy

All in all, I would recommend this plug for an anal beginner who is strapped for cash, but if you can afford better, it would be in your best interest to look elsewhere.

Use

A basic butt plug: lube yourself up, warm up, lube up the toy, stick it up your bum. The size/shape (discussed in further detail below) lends itself to an anal beginner, or person one step up from a beginner who wants a slightly larger toy. I would recommend as a warm up for a larger toy, or anal sex, more than long-term wear, or for wearing concurrently to vaginal/front-hole sex (for reasons, again, detailed below). If the person receiving the plug is properly warmed up, some gentle thrusting is not out of the question. In fact, some slow thrusting and stretching of the rear entrance was a *great* warm up for a much larger dildo.

Material / Texture

This butt plug is made out of PVC-based Sil-a-Gel, which is a porous material, so if you plan on sharing with someone, use a condom. It has a not-necessarily-unpleasant sweet-ish smell, which is pervasive and does not go away with multiple washings. The closet I keep it in reeks of the plug. However, the upshot of the smell is that it covers most butt-smells quite well.

This is a dual-density toy, although not in a positive VixSkin/Tantus kind of way. The outer layer is a firm, slick rubber-like material, maybe 1/2cm thick, which covers a softer, squishier interior layer. Unfortunately, there is an air layer between the two rubber layers, about as thick as the exterior rubber layer. This wouldn't be a problem if the two layers were well-fused at the bottom, but they are not. You can easily peel the outer layer from the inner layer at the base, with the two being badly fused in only two places (see picture). This is a huge sanitary problem, as water can easily get between the two layers when you wash the plug, which could cause mold growth, and no one wants mold up their bum.

Design / Shape / Size

The plug is cone shaped, with a fairly pointy tip, and a flat, rectangular base. The pointy tip allows for easy insertion, even for an anal beginner, which I was when I first purchased this toy.

*Do* take it slow at first, especially if you are a beginner, as the shift from the 5.25" circumference at the widest point to the 2.75" circumference of the stem is quite abrupt. The first time I used it I had no troubles getting the widest point in, but the sudden shift in size caused more than a bit of a burn.

The base measures approximately 3" x 1.85", and snuggles quite comfortably between the cheeks. There is no danger of this plug disappearing up inside of you.

The plug itself is not discreet: if you have this on your desk, people will know what it is. It is, however, travel friendly. No metal, and quite small, so it would be easy enough to pack in your luggage for a plane trip.

Performance

The pros of this toy boil down to that it is cheap, easy to insert, and will not disappear inside of you. However, I would not recommend it for use during sex, as it has a tendency to pop out if you're thrusting anything inside your vagina/front-hole, nor would I recommend it for long-term use due to the following reasons:

Long-Term Problem 1:

The pointy tip, while useful for ease of insertion, can become *very* uncomfortable if you have to sit with the plug in for any length of time. It digs into the rectal wall, which causes a decidedly unpleasant, unsexy sensation. This is also probably due to the almost 5" of insertable length, which is quite long for a buttplug, especially a long-term wear one.

Long-Term Problem 2:

The first time I wore this out, it was only my second time using the plug, and I had no troubles keeping it in. However, the second time I wore it out (perhaps my fourth time using the plug) my ass had become much more accustomed to the size, and it actually popped out of my butt whilst I was in public, which was a frustrating and embarrassing situation to say the least. This could be due either to the size or shape of the plug: perhaps my rear just became too loose to keep it in, or perhaps "easy to insert" also means "easy to pop out."
    • Easy to use
    • Not discreet at all

Care and Maintenance

Again, as this toy is Sil-a-Gel you cannot sterilize it. Soap/water or toy cleaner are the best ways to wash up after use, but as mentioned above, there is danger of getting water in between the layers, so perhaps a spray toy cleaner or toy wipes are the best route. It is compatible with water and silicone-based lubes. I store mine loose in a cupboard, but if you want to keep the smell down, wrapping it up in fabric and then placing it in an air-tight bag would probably be your best bet.
