A fun toy that you won't know how to use right away

The Aneros Progasm will give a man orgasms the likes of which he's probably never experienced, but only if he takes the time to learn how to use it properly. You will need patience and lots of lubrication to get the most out of this toy but those who persevere won't regret the investment of time (or money).

Use

The Aneros Progasm is one of the largest hands-free prostate massagers on the market today. It's big enough to begin providing great sensations the first time you put it in, but with experience your body will learn how to manipulate it, taking you to places you may not have thought possible. It has a few design flaws but anybody interested in prostate massage will wind up either buying this toy or wondering if they should.

Material / Texture

The Progasm is made from a hard, semi-smooth plastic. It feels very sturdy though the stimulator tabs can be bent (or bent back) easily without breaking. The texture is unnoticeable. Though there is a visible casting seam, it's difficult to feel even if you're trying to feel it and can't be felt when you're using it ... mostly because you'll be too busy feeling other things.

Design / Shape / Size

The prominent bumps are meant to stimulate your prostate from more than one direction simultaneously. While you'd think you'd notice both bumps inside you, you really don't. All you get is a generalized sensation of thickness.

The front ball tab (called the "P-Tab") is the device's fulcrum. With use you begin to sense it pressing on your prostate from the outside and it adds tremendously to the experience. The rear tab (the "K-Tab") is meant to press near the base of the spine to provide additional stimulation. I found that the stimulation it provided was distracting and unwelcome, even unpleasant. Bending it away from your body is not difficult and allows the Progasm to both penetrate deeper and pivot further forward. These are both good things.

The narrow shaft near the base allows your anus to close around the Progasm and stay closed. This toy really doesn't provide much stimulation to the anal opening, nor is it meant to.

In general the aggressive shape of this toy really doesn't make itself known upon use. If I didn't know what it looked like I'd guess, from the sensations it provides, that the Progasm didn't really have much of a shape.

Performance

Hands-free prostate massagers produce sensations all their own. They do not simulate the experience of anal sex. With practice it's possible to get the Progasm to move in and out of you but it just isn't designed for thrusting.

That's okay because it is excellent at what it is designed for, which is stimulating your prostate. In action, the Progasm works with both voluntary and involuntary muscle contractions to massage your prostate. This massage will at a minimum make your prostate leak fluid ("pre-cum"), but as you grow more experienced with it, it's possible to have an orgasm simply from having your prostate stimulated. With enough practice and patience, the Aneros people claim it's possible to have orgasms without ejaculation, multiple orgasms, and even what they refer to as the "super-orgasm," which they claim is far beyond anything you've ever experienced.

We've all been disappointed by a manufacturer's over-inflated claims before, but let me just say the Aneros people are right: You can experience all those things, and holy cow are they wonderful!

Care and Maintenance

The Progasm is easy to clean. It doesn't have any crevices or hidden bits. Even after a three-hour session there wasn't anything clinging to it other than lube, which came off easily with soap and warm water. The box it's shipped in will store the toy but I just keep mine in a small shaving bag along with a couple different kinds of lube.

Packaging

The Progasm comes in a beautiful red book-style box with "Aneros" embossed on the spine. It's very discreet. The included instructions read like a cross between the directions for an enema and "Yoga for Dummies" but they are fairly complete. However, you'll want to check out Aneros' wiki for more detailed instructions.

Personal comments

I've been pursing prostate orgasms ever since I found out they existed. The Aneros Progasm is one of the best toys I've found for experiencing the bliss that can only be found "back up there somewhere." This toy can indeed produce a hands-free orgasm with or without ejaculation, but even if you just use it as an adjunct to regular masturbation it'll give you powerful, intense orgasms. Of course, if you use it that way it's just an expensive, funny-looking butt plug. It's really worth taking the time to experiment with this device and let your body figure out what to do with it.

This will take time ... like fifteen to twenty hours of use before you start reaching its true potential. Not everybody wants to spend this kind of money on a toy that may well disappoint you the few times you use it, but those who are patient and disciplined will be rewarded with some of the best orgasms they've ever experienced.

Experience

I just wanted to see if this toy would produce the orgasms I've gotten from other anal toys in the past without requiring me to dislocate my shoulder or tape it to a yardstick or anything like that. I didn't have much interest in prostate milking, dry orgasms, multiple orgasms, or spending weeks and/or months on a quest for a "super orgasm" that I'd never heard of before.

I quickly found that this isn't an "anal" toy at all. It goes in your anus but it doesn't really stimulate it very much. The first five or six times I used it felt great but I couldn't reach orgasm without masturbating. The next couple times I was able to bust without using my hands. It felt nice (what orgasm doesn't?) but other toys had made me feel better.

It was about the eighth time I used the Progasm that the thing began to act like it had a mind of its own. I could really feel it squirming around inside me, giving me feelings that were a lot like orgasms, except without ejaculation, and I could have about as many of them as I wanted. Finally I felt this brain-melting crackling/buzzing sensation which began in the middle of my pelvis but spread throughout the middle of my body. It lasted for a couple minutes, went away briefly, then came back. TEN TIMES. This, I found out, was the "super-orgasm" the Aneros people talk about. It wasn't exactly a life-changing experience but dang, was it good ... and I found that I was utterly insatiable once it started.

The experience was similar to descriptions women have given of their orgasms, and I finally understand why one my wife starts having orgasms she wants more and more of them. Is this actually what orgasms are like for women? I'll never really know. But when something feels this good, who cares?

I can now experience all these things whenever I want just by playing with the Progasm. It was spendy but it was totally worth it.

Fantastic first review! My hubby won't play with any toys at all and this review just shows me how much he's missing out on for being closed minded.
