A "Good Enough" Plug

The O-Ring Silicone Anal Plug is an average-priced option in the silicone category for anal plugs. It's tapered and made of a firm silicone which can be easier to insert. While I feel that it has a few uncomfortable design flaws, it is a good choice for someone who likes a larger plug.

Use

The O-Ring Silicone Anal Plug is an average-sized anal plug that features a huge o-ring at its base to prevent it from slipping in after inserting. While its best use is anally (it's what it's designed for, after all), it can be used as a probe as well without being harmful since it can be sanitized between uses. It's made of 100% silicone, so it can be sanitized without worry of bacteria being spread or transferred between orifices.

Material / Texture

Made entirely out of silicone, this plug is scentless, tasteless, and of course, nonporous. It has an entirely smooth surface, so it glides easily and, with the right lubricant, can be very pleasant. It is an incredibly firm silicone; it doesn't have much give or flex to it, aside from at the neck of the plug. Plusher silicone is more friendly on the body, but the firmness of this helps it glide in more easily (when inserted with the right amount of lube).
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The O-Ring Silicone Anal Plug is a standard, torpedo-shaped plug that has a pointed end and an o-ring at its base. It's entirely safe to be used anally, as it shrinks to a thin neck that is 3/4" in diameter. At its widest point, the plug is about 1 1/2" and it tapers to a small 1/2" diameter at the head. The length of the insertable portion of the plug is 5", and the o-ring is 2 1/8" in diameter. The o-ring's diameter is excessive, to say the least.

For those newer to anal play, this plug may not be a good first choice. It is on the longer end of the spectrum, and it is a bit wide. I would err on the side of caution before purchasing if new to anal plugs, but it isn't so large that it could not be accommodated even for a newer player.

The main issue with the size is that it doesn't seem to sit right; my girl reported that it constantly feels like it's falling out, and it doesn't ever feel "seated" properly.

Performance

The size of the toy, for my girl, was good. The shape, however, was uncomfortable; the tip of it seemed to poke in a jarring way. It did not fit into place like it should have. While it did not interfere with our playtime, it is something that I feel should be noted because it was a flaw in the design.

Another thing was that the ring was uncomfortable and awkward as well. It was just too big, even for my girl's big butt. The ring also was made of plastic. While this was price-appropriate, it felt flimsy and I had fears it would crack while we played with it. It didn't, thankfully.

Overall, The O-Ring Silicone Anal Plug performed well enough, and while it does not compare to our higher price-point plugs, it is a good plug for the price. It's silicone and the shape is large enough that it could be used by people who like a bigger plug.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the toy with a standard toy cleaner, by boiling for three minutes, or by putting on the top rack of the dishwasher. My go-to method is regular soap for surface cleaning and then boiling for sanitizing. It can be stored with other toys, but I tend to put my silicone in plastic baggies just to be safe in case melting occurs.

Because it is made of silicone, it is safe to use oil- and water-based lubricants with it. Some of my favorite lubricants are water-based.

Packaging

This came in a plastic packaging that was incredibly difficult to open. The paper insert did not give any information about the plug aside from saying "100% silicone." I recycled the packaging as it was not useful for storage.

Thank you for the helpful review! The O-ring handle is silicone over plastic? That's a first!

Thank you for mentioning the size of the plug and the comfort level one might expect from use of the plug. I find these two bits of information useful. I like to know what to expect from my toys before I purchase them.

Oh no, a poke-y tip is just such a pain in the ass (yeah, I went there, so sue me ). Every time you move around, you have to wonder if this will be the time you get an uncomfortable poke which just detracts from the moment. And the jabs seem to come just as you're thinking everything is getting better, darn it. Couple that with the short neck and overly large loop, and I wonder if there might just be a certain body type that this works for better than it would for mine at least (I don't have this one, but I had some similar comments about another I tried, so this sounded familiar). Maybe the larger ring would come in handy for those with thicker fingers (as well as those particularly fearful about losing the plug).

Thanks for such a concise, yet detailed, review. I appreciate you taking specific measurements, and that you also take into consideration the price range of the toy.

I don't prefer a firm, pointy tipped anal toy, for the reasons WW mentioned. Lovely review and a nice read. Thanks!
