A Little Bang For Your Butt

The Small Plug of Lust is a great item for those wanting to explore anal play for the first time. It's made of safe materials that are easy to clean and care for, the texture, design, and size are great, and the price tag won't put a dent in your wallet.

Use

The best way to use this plug is exactly how it was intended: in your bum! Like with any butt plug, you simply lube, insert, and enjoy. Even though I am not really accustomed to anal penetration, I found this plug very comfortable, maybe even a little on the small side. The silicone is soft and gentle, with a clean surface texture that I really enjoyed.

There are several ways that you can enjoy the Plug of Lust: with a partner for a little taste of double penetration, alone while you play for a bit of added stimulation, or, my personal favorite, wearing it as you go about your daily routine. I would also suggest using it as part of role-play scenarios: the ring makes a perfect place to attach some sort of tail.

Material / Texture

The Plug of Lust is made from non-porous, body-safe silicone. While it's a little firm, its got just the right amount of give and a perfectly smooth texture to make insertion for anal beginners an easy process. I think it could have been enhanced with a little bit of color, but for such a simple toy, the lack of pigment is perfectly fine as well.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Plug of Lust is very straightforward and efficient, which is exactly what I look for in a butt plug. While I have to admit that I'm not very experienced or accustomed to anal penetration, the design was perfect for the job; the size wasn't uncomfortable, the flare was sufficient to keep the plug in place, and the ring on the end makes insertion and removal a breeze.

Even though I'm not very experienced with putting things in my rear, I did find that the Small Plug of Lust isn't big enough to provide any real stimulation for me after a number of uses. The Small Plug of Lust has my full recommendation as a beginner's plug, however. If you're looking for a small, inexpensive plug that is hypoallergenic, this is the toy you want to try.

Performance

The ring has to be my favorite feature of the Plug of Lust. It's capable of serving a variety of uses: easy insertion, easy removal, and it's large enough to attach items to it (tail, key ring, leash, whatever you want!).

The plug stayed secure through personal playtime, but when it came down to some rough play with a partner, it did threaten to pop out on a couple of occasions. As I said before, it's perfect for beginners, but if you're even moderately experienced with anal penetration, you may want to find something a bit larger.

Care and Maintenance

The Plug of Lust is made of silicone, therefore, treat it as any other silicone toy. Wash with hot water and soap, put it in the dishwasher, or boil it in water on the stove. When storing, be mindful that it doesn't stay in contact with any other toys (even those made of silicone) to avoid any possible bad material reactions. A little Ziploc baggie does a great job for storing this in your collection, and it keeps dust and hair from collecting on it.

As with any silicone toy, use water based lubricants ONLY. Silicone based lubricants can destroy the plug.

  • Mirror, mirror on the wall . . . who is the smallest, least intimidating butt plug of them all?
    • I am completely new to anal play. Well, at least I am almost completely new: I have been attempting to get started for a couple of weeks now since my husband has expressed interest in trying anal sex.

      Sadly, however, I have had a difficult time using what many reviewers have deemed as the perfect beginner's butt plug. It seems as though I need something even smaller than the following, all of which I have tried and find either very difficult to insert and/or too uncomfortable to wear for even a short period of time (and, yes, I do use a thick anal lube and try to insert gently and slowly):

      Tantus Little Flirt (seems too long for my comfort)

      Tantus Ripple (the last bead is too thick in diameter and it also is too long for me to fully insert comfortably)

      FunFactory Bootie (the bulged head makes it very painful to insert, even going slowly and gently, and I find it too filling to wear comfortably for long, once it is in)

      I am very sad that I am not "progressing" in anal play. Are there any smaller butt plugs out there to help me ease into using -- and hopefully even enjoying -- my *beginner* plugs so that I can eventually work up to trying anal sex?

      Ironically, my husband has also just started to experiment with anal play to massage his prostate and he has even been able to use our Nexus G-rider with no problem. I don't understand why I am still stuck at the *pre-beginner* stage!

    • At that price, the Plug of Lust is tough to beat. If price is not an object, then I might go for the Fun Factory Bootie instead because I think the base is better for long term wear. Another consideration if price were no object would be the Bob pleasure object.
