Treeze tear drop plug - butt plug discontinued by Don Wands - review by namelesschaos

I got this plug because after the Treeze Large Bubble Plug blew me away I had to try another Treeze product. While this one didn’t blow me away it is still a fantastic plug that works well for use during masturbation, intercourse or for extended wear. Not only it is functional it is also a very unique and beautiful looking plug. It makes a good all around plug and the smooth wood urethane hybrid material is less intimidating to use then true wood making it a good choice for a first wood toy. I have no real complaints about this plug but since there is also nothing really mind-blowing I’m giving it 4 stars.

This toy is made out of a hard wood urethane hybrid. This hybrid is tasteless and mostly orderless, there was a very faint sent of wood upon first opening it. It is also inert, nonporous, and free of phthalates or latex. This hybrid material is complete smooth which makes for easy insertion however you won't get any wood-grain feel the way you do with toy that are made out coated wood e.g. Nobessence toys. This material is also waterproof so you don’t have to worry about getting it wet, although as it is still wood I wouldn’t leave it submerged in water for a prolonged period of time just to be safe.

Lastly, but very importantly, although it may be scary to think of wood going in your ass you don't have to worry about this hybrid splintering on you.

The plug has a teardrop shape, which when combined with the smoothness of the plug make it very easy to insert and remove. The plug has a total length of approximately 4 inches. Of that, the teardrop shaped head is approximately 2.3", the neck approximately 1.3" and the base .4". It has a max diameter of approximately 1.5 inches, which may be a little big for a novice, but should work well for most users. The base is approximately 1.70 inches in diameter making it larger than the max diameter of the head so you can be confident it is not going to slip in by accident. Lastly, this has a neck diameter of 1”.

The visual look of this toys is one of several planks of different color woods ranging from pale to almost black in color put together. From the front or back it looks like rings of different woods, from the sides, top or bottom is looks like a series of vertical strips. Overall, the look is very striking and unique. This is the same overall color scheme as my treeze large bubble plug, however this plug is overall darker in color then the treeze large bubble. Note that although not available on Eden as of this writing the Treeze series also comes in oak and redwood colors.

Lastly, This toy is part of the Treeze series which includes this plug, the already mention Treeze Large Bubble Plug, the Treeze small bubble, and two vibrators the Treeze ribbed and the Treeze realistic

This plugged performed well, as noted above the plug is easy to insert and remove. Once inserted the plug provides a moderate degree of fullness. This is not the plug if you want to feel super full but it is pleasantly noticeable. Enough to be noticed during extend wear but not to ever really distract you if you’re focused on something. The head to neck diameter is sufficient that I never felt this plug was going to fall out even during orgasm. The base of this plug is big enough I never feared it was going to slip in and require a trip to the ER. Lastly, the base was comfortable even during extended wear. A round hard base is never going to be as comfortable a T-shaped base or an oval shaped base or a round base made out of soft materials but as far as round and hard goes, I have no complaints.

The toy’s wood urethane hybrid is compatible with water, oil, and silicone based lubes so use which ever you prefer. To clean the toy use hot soap and water. If you want a more thorough cleaning, you can use some rubbing alcohol. Unfortunately, you can't share this between non-fluid bonded partners unless you put a condom on it as you can’t subject this to sanitization/sterilization techniques. Neither the wood nor the urethane would hold up to boiling and although you can use a 10% bleach solution to sanitize other wood toys you cannot use bleach on this one as it will degrade the urethane.

There aren’t special storage requirements for this toy and it comes with a handy storage pouch if you want something to protect from dust while in storage.

This toy came in easy to open plastic packaging. The packaging is cylindrical with a large hanging flap on the top of cylinder. The packaging was tasteful, mostly pictures and descriptions of the product. The most risqué thing is a small black and white picture of a woman covering her breasts with her hands in the rear corner of the hanging flap.

The toy also came with a very nice storage pouch and a small packet of silicone-based lube (Wet Platinum). The approximately 5" x 5" storage pouch is tanned colored, has a drawstring with slider for easy closing and the plug fit easily inside of it. This pouch is very nicely padded and will protect your toy during transport or storage. I like using it for more fragile glass toys.

My only compliant about the packaging is, like the packaging for my Treeze large plug the items here seem tossed in carelessly. The rear insert on this one instead of being in the back is on the side of the package so half is where is supposed to be and half is covering the front of the packaging obscuring your view of the toy.
